11th International Workshop:⁠
The world was a guest at VALLON.⁠

Over 130 participants from 29 countries attended the 11th VALLON workshop, which focuses on detection systems and accessories for explosive ordnance disposal. ⁠
⁠
It was gratifying to see that visitors from a wide range of sectors were represented, including armed forces from various NATO member states, non-governmental organizations such as "The HALO Trust", representatives of the OSCE, numerous private and governmental explosive ordnance disposal services, and global VALLON representatives. ⁠

We were pleased with the lively participation and the exchange of experience and know-how, which will contribute to making our world a safer place.⁠

Beekeeping on our company premises: preserving biodiversity and honey production as a sustainable measure⁠

Bees play a crucial role in our ecosystem. They pollinate plants such as fruit trees, vegetable plants and flowers and thus contribute to the preservation of biodiversity. 🌳 It is therefore of great importance to protect and further promote the bee population.⁠
⁠
Every day, we enjoy the two bee colonies that were established on our company premises in 2019. 🐝⁠
⁠
A major advantage of keeping bees is the production of honey. By keeping our own bees, we can ensure that the honey is produced sustainably and without harmful additives.⁠
⁠
Our bees are already busy and we can expect a yield of around 100 jars of honey again this year. Maybe even a few more jars. 🍯⁠

Clearing Dangerous Landmines and Protecting Lives in Lebanon 💪 ⁠

The UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) area of operations is burdened with over 6.9 million square meters of contaminated land, posing an ongoing danger to the lives of local communities and UN personnel.⁠
⁠
Amidst the current economic crisis, the situation in Lebanon has worsened, leading to an increase in risk-taking activities and tragic incidents of injuries and fatalities caused by explosive ordnance. In response, the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) is working tirelessly to support UN Security Council resolutions 1701 (2006) and 2650 (2022).⁠
