Strong appearance of at SIWW2026
A great moment for German water and wastewater expertise at Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2026.
At the panel discussion “Beneath the Surface: German Solutions for Resilient and Resource-Efficient Water Infrastructure in Southeast Asia”, five German companies shared their perspectives on how innovative, customer-oriented technologies can contribute to the infrastructure challenges of the region.
The panel brought together the following experts, from left to right:
• Axel Wenzel, Director Sales Export, NIVUS GmbH
• Wolfgang Münz, Regional Sales Manager, bgu Umweltschutzanlagen
• Anja Rach, Director, Roediger Vacuum
• Michael M. Ellenrieder, General Manager APAC & Middle East, SAERTEX multiCom Group
• Hubertus Schrage, Director, Executive Management, Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH
The discussion was moderated by Roland W. Waniek, Managing Director of IKT – Institute for Underground Infrastructure.
Much of Southeast Asia’s water infrastructure is invisible. And it is under increasing pressure.
The panel showed how German expertise in pipe rehabilitation, alternative sewerage, stormwater management, energy-efficient aeration and smart flow monitoring can contribute to resilient water systems across the region.
What became very clear: German medium-sized companies have a lot to offer – with practical engineering know-how, strong innovation capacity and a clear focus on customer needs.
For everyone who would like to learn more about what the German water sector can contribute internationally, German Water Partnership is an excellent point of contact as the network of export-oriented German companies in the water and wastewater sector.
The German companies are represented at the German Pavilion and look forward to welcoming visitors, partners and interested experts.
You can meet them on 17 and 18 June in Basement 2 of the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.
Many thanks to all panelists for their excellent contributions and to SIWW2026 for providing this important platform for international exchange.
