alright, here i am again 🥳
you remember my rotorhazard-msp-osd-injector project which i announced like a couple of days ago?
i just finished my work on "V2" which completely removes the need to install any additional hardware on the drone and instead uses ELRS and ELRS Backpack functionality to set the craftname. Not only does this save weight and installation time/problems, it also means no more wifi connection problems or anything like that, the osd updates will happen as long as your elrs receiver has a elrs connection to your remote, i doubt you will reach this limit during a race ^^
on my journey of figuring out how to achieve this... i stumpled upon a Rotorhazard Plugin from . This plugin is called VRxC_ELRS and enables showing Rotorhazard OSD information in fpv goggles that support dynamically rendering osd elements using msp from a elrs backpack that is installed in the goggles (e.g. HDZero). Not only does this already work really really well, it is also way more feature rich than my original rh-osd-msp-injector project. Way more notification, configurable messages, etc. etc.
So i extended his plugin which now supports using the betaflight craftname as an output for notifications (lap times, gap times, position, race start, stats, etc. etc.)
is currently working on major refactorings to improve the stability of the plugin, therefore it might take a while until my additions get merged into the main codebase but until then, feel free to use the code directly from my fork of the plugin, i did not yet run a full race with it, but it worked flawwlessly on my bench ^^
