This little cabinet is from solid ash with half blind dovetails, with a custom made sliding door from solid mahogany. Check out the last video for some smooth sliding action 🤤

It’s been a while since I posted anything. I’ve been going to school again to become a woodworker and working in different companies as a woodworker the last 9 months, and I have a bit more than a year left to finish the degree. It’s been quite a journey so far, but I keep learning.

I also realised that I learned a lot by myself in the last years, but it is always a pleasure when you work with professionals, you develop much faster.

I will be posting more photos to document my process, but here is a work in progress of a small cabinet, lots of details, joinery etc. There will be more pictures coming up soon!

Walnut side table with an oak shelf and hand cut dovetails.
I have to say, really proud of this one. Walnut is just beautiful. And cleanest joinery to the date, not sure if I’m getting better at hand cut joinery overall or just getting better at fixing mistakes 🧐😅

Largest floating frame so far for a print by .d.marcus

Made of solid oak, with mahogany miter splines to strengthen the corners. The print is raised about 10mm from the backing board to create the shadow, and not touching the glass not to get damaged over time, so literally floating. 😎

Now in its new home, thank you .k1ttn for the photos and the trust for this piece!

[For Sale] This coffee table is a little different from all the solid wood projects so far. The sheet aluminium panels were saved from going to waste, they were prototypes to be used inside battery packs before, but never made it in (so all safe 👷👷‍♀️)

The top is 30x100cm, height is 34cm, perfect size for a smaller apartment and it is available for sale.

Yesterday we built and set up a dedicated display corner inside for Twin Teaks with ._.makes Some mirror frames, shelves, cutting boards, trays and some other hand carved odd objects are at display.

There will be an event in the upcoming months to celebrate this collaboration (and even have knife sharpening sessions 😎) stay tuned and follow them, thank you for this opportunity!

Mahogany table for 6-8 people with custom made metal legs. With walnut inlays, sliding dovetails, welded and painted metal legs, and with a beautiful grain pattern. I have been quiet the last days because I needed a short break after wrapping this one up 😅 Really happy with the outcome 😁 It was quite a journey but worth it.

If you would like to have a dining table or a coffee table that will last, pretty much forever, feel free to get in touch, happy to discuss options and find a solution together.

While I work on the new dining table, here is another one that was made of solid larch couple years back. It aged beautifully, and moved with the owner to Paris now.

I am always happy to have a chat if you are thinking of a coffee or a dinner table made of solid wood that you will hopefully keep for the rest of your life. Furniture made of nice wood doesn’t mean that it will always cost an arm and a leg. (Unless it is from some crazy rare wood of course) But feel free to reach out and we can see ❤️
