2020 continues to be an extraordinary year requiring exceptional measures. It is an important time for the world, and especially those in the creative community charged with sculpting the world in which we live. The creative community is so often called upon to identify new solutions and provide direction in times of uncertainty and this is particularly apt now.

At CIAAD a new program has been designed called the Project Boomerang Webinar that will reach out to the architecture and design students of the world in a gesture of unity, providing inspiration and starting conversations about what the future could look like.

The event will run for 24 hours as it circles the globe, starting in Dubai and heading West, before returning to Dubai a day later. There are a total of 96 speakers from all disciplines of the creative world...

Since several months I have been notified that my office was awarded as "Best Shop Fit-Out & Design Studio - Eastern Germany" by the BUILD Architecture Award Jury 2019.

This sounds great news...however: They will publish this result only upon me paying at least 237 USD for their so-called "complementary package" of useless and meaningless advertisement stuff, which I refused.

I leave it to the kind interpretation of the reader to classify this business practice as fraudulent or not, and if anyone out there is contacted by these people to get in touch with or not ;)

Bardis el-Qadima school in Baliana district, Sohag...

also this school was a ruin, most unsuitable and inappropriate as a learning environment...and see the difference now, after we carefully restored the historical building (approx. 120 years old) and integrated it into a completely new and modern school campus
