Ikea Kitchen Hack
The clients wanted the cabinets to reach all the way up to the ceiling, but that didn't leave enough space for the exhaust fan to vent at the top. So I brought the exhaust to the far corner, where it vents right next to the window, even better! Everything well concealed in the end, of course.

Ikea Kitchen Hack
The 1st pic shows how Ikea would have you instal the lighting & extractor hood. Instead, I inset the light strips into the under-paneling & brought the hood down to be flush as well. Not only does this look WAY better, but the strip of paneling that comes across the bottom of the hood prevents smoke & steam from entering the cabinet that it's set into (an oversight on Ikea's part). A lot of silicone was used 😅
