🚧 60 metres. One installation. Zero excavation.

At a recent site in Willich, NRW, our application technicians Daniel Neuhäuser and Nicolai Seifert supported our long-standing customer Grubenblitz with a challenging rehabilitation project.

The existing pipe had large cracks extending over several metres, including damage to the pipe invert. The line also ran underneath a building, while a forklift gate had to remain accessible – making trenchless rehabilitation the ideal solution.

The result: a Brawo 3D Liner DN 300 – 400, installed over 60 metres in one single pull and against the flow direction. 💪

For curing, we used our PROcure with 2 × 600 W LED light sources.

🔹 60 m installation length
🔹 DN 300 – 400 with a direct diameter transition
🔹 0.4 m/min installation speed
🔹 Approx. 2.5 hours curing time
🔹 Installation underneath an existing building

Another highlight on site: the Thunder Drum 1600. 👀

Our large inversion drum was particularly well suited for this project. The transition from DN 300 to DN 400, combined with the 60 m installation length, made the large drum capacity an important part of the setup. The liner was be inverted in one continuous run with a consistent pull-back speed.

Designed for liner inversion from DN 100 to DN 500, the Thunder Drum 1600 combines an electric drive, controlled liner guidance and robust stainless-steel construction.

A successful installation that shows what is possible when the right equipment meets challenging site conditions. 🔧

What challenges are you currently facing on site? Let us know in the comments. 👇

🌍🔧 Knowledge that goes beyond the machine.

At IMS, we don’t only invest in the continuous training of our own employees. We also make sure that our customers, service partners and subsidiaries around the world stay up to date with our products, systems and service procedures.
Because no matter where our customers work with IMS equipment, we want them to receive the same level of expertise, support and service. 🤝

Recently, we brought together colleagues and service partners from Israel, the Netherlands, France, the UK, Denmark, the USA and Australia at our headquarters for a hands-on NANO E service training. 🌍🔧
The training was all about putting theory into practice. Using original equipment and other training control systems, participants were able to simulate service scenarios and gain hands-on experience in identifying and resolving potential problems. 💡

The most important point is this: only those who understand the technical aspects of the equipment can systematically and quickly identify the causes of faults.

Further training topics included:
🔹 Opening and inspecting the milling drive
🔹 Examining the rotary gearbox and hose package
🔹 Removing and reinstalling boards from the cable drum
🔹 Working with our “IMS MyRobot” service platform and digital spare parts catalogue – with all relevant service information available in real time and just in time
🔹 Practical troubleshooting and service procedures

By regularly bringing our teams, subsidiaries and partners together for technical training, we foster a shared understanding of our systems and service standards across borders.

This allows us to ensure that IMS customers around the world can rely on the same level of competence, technical support and quality – wherever they are. 🌍
Because excellent customer support doesn’t end with the handover of a system – it continues through training, expertise and long-term partnership. 🤝

🌟 Welcome to IMS Robotics! 🌟

This week, we were excited to welcome our new trainees to our site in Ottendorf-Okrilla and officially start this year’s Azubi Day! 👋😊

Starting an apprenticeship is the beginning of an exciting new chapter – full of new experiences, skills, challenges and opportunities. We are very happy that you have chosen IMS Robotics as the place to begin your professional journey. 🚀🔧

During the day, our new trainees had the opportunity to get to know IMS, explore their future workplace and meet colleagues from different departments. 🤝

They were supported by our trainees from the second and third years of their apprenticeship, who shared their own experiences, answered questions and gave helpful tips for the start. Together with our HR team, training coordinators and colleagues from across the company, they helped create a welcoming and informative first day. 💬👏

At IMS, training is about more than learning a profession. It is about developing new skills, gaining practical experience, taking responsibility and growing together as a team. 🌱

We wish all our new trainees a successful start, exciting projects, many valuable experiences and, of course, lots of fun throughout their apprenticeship! 🎓🤖

Welcome to the team – we’re happy to have you with us! 🚀
