At 𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸 2026, Finnish boatbuilder Elvene unveils AMY, one of the fastest solar electric production boats — reaching up to 30 knots.

At the core:
MOLABO ARIES 50 kW electric outboard
Safe-to-touch 48 V technology
Solar-powered energy autonomy at low speeds

This project demonstrates a key shift in marine electrification:
➡️ High performance no longer requires high voltage
➡️ Solar is no longer limited to slow displacement speeds
➡️ Energy independence becomes operational reality

With approx. 35 nautical miles range at cruising speed and true solar sailing capability, AMY opens new opportunities for:
• Rental & charter fleets
• Shared mobility concepts
• Off-grid marine applications

A new era of powerboat racing begins.
Formula 60 Electric launches in 2026 as the first fully electric sprint racing series based on the proven Formula 4 platform. The first race weekends in France are confirmed — and team entries are now open.

Launching under the Fédération Française Motonautique, developed in alignment with Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), Mercury Racing, Team TechOut Racing, Kaiser Bootsmanufaktur and Protenergies.

With its electric propulsion system, the 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗞𝗶𝗲𝗹 can operate fully electric for 2-3 hours at 6-7 knots, allowing for quiet, emission-free missions. When extra power is needed, the electric motor ARIES i50 and diesel engine work together in boost mode, reaching speeds of up to 34 knots. This combination of silent electric cruising and powerful hybrid performance gives emergency crews exactly what they need: efficiency, reliability, and maximum flexibility - in every situation.

Why the Fire Department Kiel relies on electric mobility: In emergency operations, every second - and every sound - matters.
Thanks to the silent operation of the electric propulsion system, cries for help can be heard more clearly, helping rescue teams locate people faster - while also protecting the environment.
This project was especially meaningful for us - because this boat is now helping save lives while operating quietly, cleanly and reliably.

We’re currently at the The Ocean Race Village in Kiel, where we had the chance to step aboard Team Malizia Seaexplorer.
It was exciting to see our 48V MOLABO electric inboard motor integrated into a fully optimized serial hybrid system - developed in collaboration with Fischer Panda GmbH, Solid State Marine, and Reality Sailing.
The hybrid system achieves up to 111 kg of weight savings—while increasing onboard battery capacity.
