Yes, we’d love nothing more than to jump straight into making the most intense sounds. That’s where the real fun is. But for what we produce to remain healthy and sustainable, control is absolutely essential.
Just like with any coordinative skill—learning an instrument, playing sports, gaming, etc.—the key is training your muscle memory and developing fine motor control.
That’s exactly what this exercise is for. Kargyraa already engages both your vocal cords and vestibular folds (also known as “false vocal cords”). Then we relax back into a clear voice, releasing the tension in the vestibular folds. Now, the goal is to quickly re-engage those folds again while adding a precise, targeted breath impulse. None of this is about loudness or sheer force—it’s purely about fine motor precision.
