What does it take for a village to become climate-resilient?

In Jilingsereng (India), families once spent hours fetching water and faced health risks. Thanks to solar-powered water systems, clean water now flows directly into homes. This transformation not only brings dignity, health, and hope, but also strengthens climate resilience: the village is now better prepared for droughts, erratic rainfall, and changing weather conditions.

Community participation and government support have created lasting change and made Jilingsereng a model for climate-adaptive solutions.

Finally, there is hope for the community, thanks to our project with UNICEF.

How do we build a low-carbon economy and a more secure future? By connecting the right people and ideas.

Last week, Climate Week NYC, organized by Climate Group and held in coordination with the UN General Assembly, brought decision-makers and experts together across sectors and regions.

For Stan Zurkiewicz and Maik Beermann, spending a week in New York made one thing very clear: The biggest challenges of our time cannot be solved alone.

🚗🌿 How does cannabis use affect driving behavior and how well can drivers assess their own ability to drive?

After decades without reliable water, Akash Kebele finally sees hope. 🙏

The community had long depended on unprotected ponds after their borehole failed. Now, UNICEF has drilled a new, deep borehole that restores safe water access year-round.

Combined with solar-powered pumps and robust infrastructure, this project brings lasting change to thousands of residents. It’s a major step toward resilience and dignity for families in the Oromia Region.

Heatwaves, heavy rainfall and flooding can disrupt the places that keep cities moving. 🚅

Railway stations are especially exposed: they connect people, support daily operations and often sit at the heart of urban life.
Together with SNCF Gares & Connexions, DEKRA assessed climate risks at Tours railway station in France.

The assessment showed that heat is likely to become the station’s most pressing challenge. DEKRA translated this finding into practical adaptation scenarios, from external sun protection to long-term cooling solutions and stronger drainage planning.
