‼️From this time, no shipping inside EU. Only Germany. ‼️
With new regulations each year the EU makes it harder and harder for small online businesses like mine to operate. Some of these initiatives are even well intended, but very badly executed - just like the latest, called „Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)“, coming into effect tomorrow.
It will require ANYONE who trades across borders within the EU to name (and pay) a representative in each and every EU country, register with (and pay for) a national recycling initiative in each and every single EU country, and pay a fee for each and every single piece of packaging shipped to that country!
The cost (up to several hundred Euros per country, even if you ship only one item per year!), and bureaucracy involved is simply not feasible for small businesses like mine 😢
EPR was meant to make big polluters pay. Instead, it has created a disproportionate pay-to-play barrier that systematically wipes out microenterprises while favouring multinational corporations.
This system does not protect small businesses — it destroys them!
