I was in a pharmacy looking for a prescription, inset of pills 💊 I said pillulle (wich word means the same in French), the pharmacologist was confused and send me to the furniture area because he thinks that i was looking for pillow (which word means oreillée in french).
And i said: "Why? He was upset and answered me, that I don't speak English, and I'm not smart enough.
I said : thanks, I just learn one word from you just right now.""
And I said: listen to me:
If you can't answer my question in 3 more languages, that's means my brain 🧠 structure is more complex and larger than yours and starts learning how treats better the people with a different accent or lack of English vocabulary.
Never feel that you're less because of your accent. It's proved scientifically that the people who speak more languages are more intelligent than those who don't.

This enhances their analytical skills, with obvious practical benefits like better jobs, promotions, and such.

The last and most crucial part is that bilinguals have a more vital dorsolateral prefrontal cortex or bigger brains. Scientists have found that monolinguals use only the left side of the brain compared to bilinguals, who use both the left and right sides.
This results in an increased bigger neural landscape. Let’s take Manny Delgado from Modern Family, for example. Manny was better at everything he did, from education to fencing to poetry. That’s because he was born to a Colombian Spanish mother but spent all his life in the USA, speaking both English and Spanish.
Manny was also more mature than his peers and connected better with older family members, which was also a big part of the show. This proves that bilingualism has a profound effect on a child’s brain.
On the other hand, some of the disadvantages of bilingualism are an apparent delay in language acquisition; interference between the two phonological, lexical, and grammatical systems; and a possible decrease in vocabulary in both languages.
Disadvantage 2: Poses a threat to minority languages
According to a BBC article, in this last century, some 400 languages have become extinct – about one language every three months – and in the next century, 50% of all remaining languages will become extinct.Footnote5 Needless to say, this is worrying, because simply put, an extinct language means the loss of a unique culture. People who speak a global language have greater opportunities for employment, education, and overall success.
Learning two or more languages makes you intelligent and invincible as a human. That said, the more you learn several languages in this increasingly globalized world, the better for your career. So, learn as many languages as possible and enjoy every culture from within.
