SENIOR ARCHITECT NEEDED

We are hiring a senior architect with a minimum of 7 years working experience. The candidate must be experienced in design and design development, and managerial experience. Also, they must be able to monitor, and be involved in the design process from conceptual phase through construction, ensuring the design idea is consistent and properly executed. We are a young firm that is growing. Experience, excellence, and dedication is expected.

Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years experience in design and design development
Ability to be both creative and pragmatic, and must have a technical know-how background
Must be proficiency in 3D Max, and knowledgeable of Revit, Autocad, Sketch-UpAdobe Photoshop
Managerial Experience and has to be a team player, and must have the ability to lead a team
Understanding of scheduling and budgeting
Strong communications skills and strong coordination skills.

The successful candidate will be joining our design team, and must be able to make immediate contributions and take initiatives to complete work.

Wadi Degla Protected Area
PARK SIGNAGE STRATEGY
The purpose of our work in Wadi Degla is the development of a Comprehensive Park Signage strategy, including design and implementation, for the purposes of enhancing user experience of the park and providing instructions for its preservation.
Our design approach is to maintain a subtle presence in the Wadi. Our sensitive interventions will attempt to blend with the context, and yet contrast with it just enough to be visible,hence the minimal use of black basalt. Over 80% of the material will be out of local limestone. The project will make use of the existing excavated rubble present in the 8th kilometer of the wadi contributing to the clearing of that area. A modular design will be adopted for the purpose of flexibility in regards to accommodate for future additions or changes.

Junior architect
Reporting to: Project Manager

We are a boutique, design driven architectural firm based out of Cairo with projects throughout Egypt with a focus on the Red Sea Coast. We are committed to designing meaningful and thoughtful architecture through a process driven approach with a strong emphasis on providing exceptional client service and with a focus on building with natural materials.
We are seeking candidates that are interested in our firms mentality, and who are excited about learning and growing with us. Candidates will be working in all phases of the architectural process and will be asked to produce quality documents and presentations from inception through completion. We are looking for individuals who have a desire to learn, ability to wear different hats, and are self motivated. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years practical real world experience in architecture design. Candidates should hold a bachelor's or masters degree in architecture. Compensation will be based on experience.

Responsibilities:
• Work together with architectural design teams on projects
• Collaborate on projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction drawings and construction administration
• Develop design concepts and generate construction documents
• Support project team coordination for plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
• Work with consultants to meet overall project objectives
• Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
• Work within given fees and contracts for projects.
• Manage time to stay on schedule and within budgets.

Yo, tasmimat's entry for the Nka Foundation Projects has been shortlisted as finalist! Final jury decision is in 2 weeks.

Since time immemorial, peoples of different continents have realized the potential of using Palm Trees in the construction of their shelters. Trunks have been used as columns, beams and lentils, reeds as roofing and furniture, even leaves as ropes for tying connections.

In this project, except for foundations and roofing, our aim is to construct a whole design out of Palm Trees, building on ancient vernacular traditions as well as attempting to innovate new ones with attention to construction details.
