ZDS Architects ZDS Architects is an international multi-disciplinary design studio. Focuses on urban planning

ZDS Architects is an international multi-disciplinary design studio, with a main focus on urban planning, architecture and interior design. ZDS Architects is operating in Egypt, Spain, UAE, KSA, Kenya and Tanzania. At ZDS, we view architecture as a confluence of different disciplines. Thus, our approach to design is led by imagining new interdisciplinary worlds, extending beyond the already-known maxims of the built world. Since 2010, ZDS Architects has always had the ability to create genuine work that serves the people and the environment in the most innovative ways, catering to their satisfaction. ZDS projects’ have been outward-looking, engendering meaningful dialogue about what lies inside, outside, between, and beyond spaces, valuing the spectacular and the real.

Residential gyms are usually the last space to receive real design attention a leftover floor plate with equipment placed in it.

We treated it as a primary amenity. Full-height glazing along the machine row so the cardio position faces greenery, a mirrored partition to separate mat work without closing it off, and continuous linear lighting so the ceiling stays uninterrupted across both zones.

GYM, Noor Khuzam for Grova Developments , Riyadh.

One thing to confirm: a GYM caption set already exists from the July round. Is this a second post from the same space, or is it replacing that one? If both run, B and the July “treadmills face the garden” angle overlap and one should shift.

The first impression starts overhead.

A cascade of brass and light drapes down over travertine walls, guiding you toward a sculptural reception desk carved to feel almost organic.

This is the lobby at Noor Khuzam, Grova where every material choice sets the tone before you’ve even sat down.

No fluorescent lights. No windowless box.

Just oak ceilings, natural light, and a view that keeps you moving.

This is the gym at Noor Khuzam, Riyadh designed the same way we design every space: around how it feels to move through it.

What stays with you after an internship isn’t just the projects.
It’s the people, the lessons, the confidence you gain, and the memories you never expected to make.

Here’s what our interns had to say about their journey at ZDS.

30/07/2026

Great architecture begins with great learning, and even stronger partnerships.

We’re proud to collaborate with the German International University (GIU) German International University through an internship program that equips students with hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world projects.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in supporting the architects of tomorrow.

Where the Body Resets.

The Accord • 02 • New Administrative Capital, Egypt

The brief was full of rooms where the world performs where you hold your face, choose every word, sit upright for hours.
Important rooms. Exhausting ones.

So we drew a room no one requested. Screens you can disappear behind. Floor seating low enough to make your shoulders drop. Light that doesn’t ask anything of you.
A place to stop being a delegate and go back to being a person for ten minutes.

Because a building that only honors the work, and never the people doing it, has missed the point of why the work exists.
The institution serves people. We made sure it served the ones inside it too.
