New project Manazel Masaken
Al Hasa, Hofuf, Saudi Arabia
Like a dune,
the façade folds into the horizon.
It closes itself off from the outside world,
shielding from the sun and noise,
yet allowing light
to find its way through.
Amidst folds and shadows,
small openings
let the daylight in.
Architecture that protects
whilst still allowing the building to breathe.

The façade draws inspiration from the desert landscape. A continuous relief, with jagged and pointed geometry, is reminiscent of wind-sculpted dunes.
Its folds form an envelope that shields the interior spaces from the elements, filtering the sun and providing privacy. Between them, small openings are strategically left ajar to allow light to pe*****te the interior, creating an ever-changing sequence of light and shadow throughout the day.
An architecture that seeks a balance between protection and openness, mass and light, interior and landscape.

Ubicado en Al Hasa, Arabia Saudita
Como una duna,
la fachada se pliega al horizonte.
Se cierra al exterior,
protege del sol y del ruido,
pero deja que la luz
encuentre su camino.
Entre pliegues y sombras,
pequeñas aberturas
dejan entrar el día.
Una arquitectura que protege
sin dejar de respirar.

La fachada nace de una interpretación del paisaje del desierto. Un relieve continuo, de geometría quebrada y puntiaguda, recuerda a las dunas moldeadas por el viento.
Sus pliegues construyen una envolvente que protege los espacios interiores de las condiciones del exterior, filtrando el sol y generando privacidad. Entre ellos, pequeñas aberturas se entreabren estratégicamente para permitir que la luz penetre en el interior, creando una secuencia cambiante de luces y sombras a lo largo del día.
Una arquitectura que busca el equilibrio entre protección y apertura, masa y luz, interior y paisaje.
