Solar Panel Installer Wanted

ENERA is looking for a new team member who is not afraid of heights or heat. We install solar panels, and in summer the temperature on a roof can easily exceed 40°C.
Location: Altea area, within approximately 25 km.

Requirements:

* Legal documents allowing you to work in Spain.
* A valid driving licence and real driving experience, as you will travel between different job sites every day.
* English level B1 or higher — we work not only with Russian-speaking clients.
* Age: up to 45.
* Weight: up to 95 kg. This is not an arbitrary requirement: heavier loads can cause roof tiles to crack.
* If you do not meet these requirements, please do not apply. It will save both you and us time.

Experience with electric welding will be an advantage.

Payment: piece-rate, above the market average, plus an official employment contract.

What can it do? Basically, almost everything a larger system can do. Just without trying to power the entire neighborhood.))

In Spain, such a system can generate an average of around 15 kWh per day, depending on the season, roof orientation, and weather.

You might say: 15 kWh isn’t much for my house. And yes, this kind of system won’t cover 100% of everyone’s consumption. But its main advantage is something else.

A large part of the energy produced can be used directly in the house.

The refrigerator is running — it uses solar energy. The air conditioner is working — solar energy. The water heater is heating the water — also from the sun.

In other words, the energy doesn’t sit around waiting for its moment. It works immediately.

Of course, when the house is consuming less than the panels are producing, the surplus electricity can be exported to the grid and compensated according to the terms of your electricity tariff. But the most profitable option is to use solar energy directly at the moment it is produced.

That’s exactly why a smaller solar system can sometimes be more profitable than a larger one. It doesn’t try to cover absolutely everything, but it costs much less and can recover the investment much faster.

The price of this system is €2,961 turnkey, including installation on a tiled roof.

We installed a small 3 kW solar system. And right away, here comes the question people usually ask us: what does 3 kW actually mean, and what can you do with it? Let me explain.
3 kW isn't a constant power output pumping non-stop 24/7. It’s the peak maximum output the panels generate when the sun shines directly on them with not a cloud in sight, usually for about two to three hours around noon. In the morning and evening, the output is lower, which makes sense since the sun is lower and the angle isn't optimal.
Looking at the whole day, here in Finestrat, a system this size generates an average of 12 to 15 kilowatt-hours during the summer, depending on placement... in winter, of course, it's a bit less. Over the year, it adds up to around 4,000 to 4,500 kilowatt-hours. For comparison, a standard home without a pool or non-stop air conditioning uses about 2,500 to 3,500 kWh annually. That means a system of this size comfortably covers a home's baseline energy consumption.
Now, let's break it down by appliances so it's crystal clear. A refrigerator draws around 100–150 W on average; the compressor runs in cycles rather than continuously, so its actual daily energy use is quite modest, and the solar system powers it effortlessly. A washing machine uses about 2,000 W during a cycle, but it only runs for an hour to an hour and a half. A single-room air conditioner takes 800–1,200 W. An electric water heater, however, is a bigger deal: a typical unit draws around 1.5–2 kW, and if it heats water for an hour or two, it takes half or nearly all of the system's power capacity at that moment. An electric kettle also draws 1.5–2 kW, but it boils water quickly.
And here’s a crucial point that many people overlook: at night, the solar system generates absolutely nothing. The sun is down, and the panels are simply asleep. Without a battery, you will still draw power from the regular grid at night, just like before. To avoid this, you need to install a battery storage system that charges from excess energy during the day and feeds that stored power back to your home in the evening and night. That’s how a solar system can truly cover almost the entire 24-hour cycle, not just the daylight hours.

We're looking for an electrician and a panel installer to join our team.

Important condition: you need to live within 15 km of Benidorm.

Work permits are mandatory. Spanish and/or English at least at A2 level. A driving license and real driving experience are required, we work all over Spain, and there are occasional trips lasting a week, not often, but they happen.

This is hands-on work: roofs, panels, hauling equipment. Age up to 45. Weight up to 95 kg, it's not about looks, it's that Spanish roof tiles are fragile and haven't quite made friends with heavyweights yet, they crack on the first step.

Personality matters too. We need someone easygoing, no conflicts, and a sense of humor is a real plus, it makes the work more fun. Jokes are welcome, but if you're here to argue about your rights, Strasbourg's got a human rights court for that, we're just offering a job.

Official contract. The probation period is paid in full, no cuts, and after the first month an individual bonus is added on top of the contract salary.
