Wejchert Golf Club · Warsaw

A golf club designed as three connected experiences: Clubhouse, Convention Center and Spa.
Winner of first prize in an international competition, the project is organized around a curved axis that links the different buildings through terraces, green areas and a continuous arched porch.

The Clubhouse places its VIP social areas on the upper levels, opening to views of holes 9 and 18 and tee 1.
The Convention Center connects directly through a shared lobby, while the porch gradually becomes a wooden and glass bridge leading to the Spa and Meditation Center.

The spa follows Feng Shui principles, with treatment rooms arranged around themes such as sun, fire, earth and life. Water runs north to south, while the Meditation Room is oriented east to west.

A project that combines sport, hospitality and wellness through one continuous architectural journey.

Un club de golf pensado como tres experiencias conectadas: Clubhouse, Convention Center y Spa.
Ganador del primer premio en un concurso internacional, el proyecto se organiza alrededor de un eje curvo que une los distintos edificios mediante terrazas, zonas verdes y un pórtico continuo de arcos.

El Clubhouse sitúa sus áreas sociales VIP en los niveles superiores, abiertas a las vistas de los hoyos 9 y 18 y del tee 1.
El Convention Center se conecta directamente a través de un lobby común, mientras el pórtico se transforma poco a poco en un puente de madera y vidrio que conduce al Spa y Meditation Center.

El spa se organiza según principios de Feng Shui, con salas de tratamiento asociadas a conceptos como sol, fuego, tierra y vida. El agua recorre el conjunto de norte a sur, mientras la sala de meditación se orienta de este a oeste.

Un proyecto que combina deporte, hospitalidad y bienestar a través de un único recorrido arquitectónico.

La Graiera Golf Club · Catalonia

A clubhouse defined by two curved stone walls and a central cylindrical tower.

Set within an 18-hole golf course and pitch & putt field, La Graiera Golf Club uses its position to open the building toward the views and organize the program across three levels.

The entrance is formed by two curved walls that meet around the lobby and staircase. Below, changing rooms, storage and golf cart parking support the course operations. The ground floor brings together offices, a shop and social areas, while the rooftop becomes a summer terrace-bar with 360º views.

Stone, concrete, corten steel and wood give the building a strong material identity, while paths, terraces and native planting connect the clubhouse with the course.

Un clubhouse definido por dos muros curvos de piedra y una torre cilíndrica central.

Situado dentro de un campo de golf de 18 hoyos y un pitch & putt, La Graiera aprovecha su posición para abrir el edificio hacia las vistas y organizar el programa en tres niveles.

El acceso se forma con dos muros curvos que se encuentran alrededor del lobby y la escalera. En la planta inferior se sitúan vestuarios, almacenes y parking de buggies. La planta baja reúne oficinas, tienda y zonas sociales, mientras la cubierta se convierte en una terraza-bar de verano con vistas de 360º

Piedra, hormigón, acero corten y madera dan identidad al edificio, mientras caminos, terrazas y vegetación autóctona conectan el clubhouse con el campo.

Pamekas House · Mykonos

A house by the sea, built around simplicity, open space and the light of Mykonos.
Pamekas House is set on the shoreline and organized on two levels. A landscaped ramp with bamboo, bougainvillea and an old olive tree leads to the entrance, where white volumes and two curved stone walls give the house a clear and calm presence.

Large paved terraces connect the main house, the porch and the guest area, making outdoor life part of the everyday. The pool, with its overflowing edge, and the planting of shrubs, trees and aromatic species complete the setting.

What stands out here is how simple everything feels. The architecture is open, relaxed and very direct, letting the house and the landscape work together.

Una casa junto al mar, construida a partir de la sencillez, los espacios abiertos y la luz de Mykonos.
Pamekas House se sitúa frente al mar y se organiza en dos niveles. Una rampa ajardinada con bambú, buganvilias y un viejo olivo conduce al acceso, donde volúmenes blancos y dos muros curvos de piedra dan a la casa una presencia clara y serena.

Grandes terrazas pavimentadas conectan la vivienda principal, el porche y la zona de invitados, haciendo que la vida exterior forme parte del día a día. La piscina desbordante y la plantación de arbustos, árboles y especies aromáticas completan el conjunto.

Lo que más destaca aquí es lo simple que se siente todo. La arquitectura es abierta, relajada y directa, dejando que la casa y el paisaje trabajen juntos.

Van Veggel House · Lisbon

A house designed around the view.

Set on a mountain near Lisbon, Van Veggel House looks towards Cabo da Roca, the Atlantic and Guincho Natural Park. The plan opens from a central entrance courtyard into two wings, connected by a curved corridor that keeps the landscape present throughout the house.

The ground floor opens directly to the garden, where a pond drops through a waterfall to the lower level. Olive trees, rockery, a solarium and a stone-bottom pool shape the outdoor spaces.

Inside, colored plaster, timber floors and native stone keep the palette warm and simple, while landscaped roofs and pitched ends give more height to the living room and master bedroom.

The result is a house where the views are not just outside — they organize the whole project.

Una casa diseñada alrededor de las vistas.

Situada en una montaña cerca de Lisboa, Van Veggel House mira hacia Cabo da Roca, el Atlántico y el Parque Natural de Guincho. La planta se abre desde un patio central de acceso hacia dos alas, conectadas por un corredor curvo que mantiene el paisaje presente en toda la casa.

La planta baja se abre directamente al jardín, donde un estanque desciende mediante una cascada hacia el nivel inferior. Olivos, rocalla, solárium y una piscina con fondo de piedra completan los exteriores.
En el interior, revocos de color, suelos de madera y piedra local mantienen una paleta cálida y sencilla, mientras las cubiertas ajardinadas y los extremos inclinados dan más altura al salón y al dormitorio principal.

El resultado es una casa donde las vistas no están solo fuera: organizan todo el proyecto.

Melides House · Alto Alentejo, Portugal

Melides House is a residential project near Comporta, designed around the natural levels of the land.

The main house sits on the upper platform, while the pool and porch are placed below, connected by a gravel path surrounded by lavender.

An existing structure was kept and transformed into a guest area, while the new house remains mostly horizontal and simple.

Natural plaster, stone and timber define the material palette. Outside, gravel paths, citrus trees, oaks and olive trees complete the setting.

What we like most about this project is how little feels forced. The house works with the slope, the existing building, the vegetation and the views.

Melides House es un proyecto residencial cerca de Comporta, diseñado a partir de los niveles naturales del terreno.

La casa principal se sitúa en la plataforma superior, mientras la piscina y el porche ocupan el nivel inferior, conectados por un camino de grava rodeado de lavanda.

Una construcción existente se conserva y se transforma en zona de invitados, mientras la nueva vivienda mantiene una composición sencilla y principalmente horizontal.

Revoco natural, piedra y madera definen la materialidad. En el exterior, caminos de grava, cítricos, encinas y olivos completan el entorno.

Lo que más nos gusta de este proyecto es que nada se siente forzado. La casa trabaja con la pendiente, la construcción existente, la vegetación y las vistas.

Sutherland House · Sicily

A British family moves to Sicily and starts again — this time surrounded by olive trees, old stone walls, open fields and views of the sea.

Sutherland House grows from that setting with a simple linear plan, opening each room towards the landscape and making outdoor life part of the everyday. A long porch, shaded areas and a pool with a cascading waterfall extend the house into the garden.

The character comes from the materials: local stone worked by Sicilian artisans, textured plaster, ceramic floors and timber details. Nothing feels overly polished; the warmth comes from texture, craft and the colors of the island.

Large windows bring the countryside into the interiors, while the existing orchard, stone walls and mature trees remain part of the experience.

Una familia británica se muda a Sicilia para empezar una nueva vida rodeada de olivos, antiguos muros de piedra, campos abiertos y vistas al mar.

Sutherland House parte de ese escenario con una planta lineal sencilla, abriendo cada estancia hacia el paisaje y haciendo del exterior parte de la vida diaria. Un gran porche, zonas de sombra y una piscina con cascada prolongan la casa hacia el jardín.

El carácter está en los materiales: piedra local trabajada por artesanos sicilianos, revocos texturizados, suelos cerámicos y detalles de madera. Nada se siente excesivamente pulido; la calidez viene de la textura, el oficio y los colores de la isla.

Grandes ventanales llevan el paisaje al interior, mientras el antiguo huerto, los muros de piedra y los árboles existentes siguen formando parte de la experiencia.

Una casa familiar contemporánea con el carácter relajado de una finca siciliana.

Javier Barba Torra joins the AD100 Hall of Fame

Architectural Digest Spain has included Javier Barba Torra in its AD100 Hall of Fame, recognizing 30 active figures whose work has helped shape architecture, design and interiors.

AD highlights Javier Barba’s long-standing approach to green architecture, developed well before sustainability became a central conversation in the profession, as well as his connection to local building traditions, landscape and ways of living.

Projects such as Predio Sa Fúa in Menorca, Lord Rothschild Summer Pavilion in Corfu, Waltraud Cellar in Vilafranca del Penedès, Spain and Stag’s Leap W**e Cellar in Napa County, United States are featured as examples of this trajectory.

A recognition that celebrates decades of work, continuity and a way of understanding architecture through place, climate and landscape.

Waltraud Cellar · Torres W**ery

At Waltraud Cellar, architecture becomes a tribute to the Torres family’s w**emaking legacy.

Designed as a w**e cellar and visitor center in Penedès, the project follows the natural topography through three levels of corten steel, concrete and landscaped roofs. Below ground, a basement-plaza stores the w**ery’s finest w**es. At the intermediate level, a quiet cloister surrounds a central fountain and connects visually with the space below through a transparent glass backdrop. Above, a VIP reception room and museum project into the landscape like a prow, overlooking a pond linked to the cloister by a waterfall.

Sustainability is part of the concept, with an innovative photovoltaic tree that helps illuminate the complex and reinforces its environmental vision.

Art also shapes the experience, with works by Xavier Corberó, Josep Cerdà i Ferrer and Waltraud Maczassek integrated throughout the project.

En Waltraud Cellar, la arquitectura se convierte en un homenaje al legado vinícola de la familia Torres.

Diseñado como bodega y centro de visitantes en el Penedès, el proyecto sigue la topografía natural a través de tres niveles de acero corten, hormigón y cubiertas ajardinadas. Bajo tierra, una plaza-sótano guarda los mejores vinos. En el nivel intermedio, un claustro sereno rodea una fuente central y se conecta visualmente con el espacio inferior a través de un fondo acristalado. Arriba, una sala VIP y museo se proyectan sobre el paisaje como una proa, frente a un estanque unido al claustro por una cascada.

La sostenibilidad forma parte del concepto, con un innovador árbol fotovoltaico que ayuda a iluminar el conjunto y refuerza su visión ambiental.

El arte también forma parte de la experiencia, con obras de Xavier Corberó, Josep Cerdà i Ferrer y Waltraud Maczassek integradas en el recorrido.

New W**e Center · Bodegas Torres

A w**e experience shaped through architecture.

The New W**e Center at Bodegas Torres is designed as a sequence of spaces for discovering, tasting and sharing w**e, always connected to the vineyards of Penedès.

At the heart of the project, a large open hall is covered by an exposed timber structure inspired by traditional agricultural buildings. Its scale, warmth and natural light create the setting for exhibitions, tastings, gatherings and events.

W**e bars, tasting rooms and exhibition spaces open onto terraces and gardens, extending the experience toward the landscape. On the upper level, workshops, presentations and private tastings overlook both the main hall and the vineyards.

Wood, stone, arched openings and vineyard views give the building a strong architectural identity while creating an atmosphere that feels warm, social and closely linked to w**e culture.

Una experiencia del vino construida desde la arquitectura.

El New W**e Center de Bodegas Torres se plantea como una secuencia de espacios para descubrir, catar y compartir el vino, siempre conectados con los viñedos del Penedès.

En el centro del proyecto, un gran hall abierto se cubre con una estructura de madera vista inspirada en los edificios agrícolas tradicionales. Su escala, calidez y luz natural crean el escenario para exposiciones, catas, encuentros y eventos.

W**e bar, salas de cata y espacios expositivos se abren hacia terrazas y jardines, prolongando la experiencia hacia el paisaje. En la planta superior, workshops, presentaciones y catas privadas miran tanto al gran hall como a los viñedos.

Madera, piedra, grandes arcos y vistas al paisaje dan identidad al edificio y construyen una atmósfera cálida, social y ligada a la cultura del vino.
