Colombo Architecture is an international firm, founded in 2011 as a collaborative studio for Architecture and Interior Design.

Based in Barcelona and Milano, the firm works on projects in Spain and abroad. CaSA is a Barcelona-based office of architecture established by two Italian architects, Matteo Colombo and Andrea Serboli. Coming from different backgrounds - Serboli has great experience in landscape architecture and urban design and Colombo in housing, interiors and retail - the office offers a wide range of services,

in architecture, interiors, design, branding and corporate image, with a philosophy of using project limits as guidelines and maximizing and concentrating resources in few key elements. We have international, working on ongoing projects in Russia, Brasil and Spain. The studio takes every project as a challenge.

Suite delight • Snapshots from the master bedroom in our Muntaner project, where the bed-head becomes closet storage and divider. Ribbed ceiling moldings play with the light from the terrace. The glossy lacquered French door is bespoke.

Noblesse oblige • We are happy to work on the renewal of this magnificent 1932 apartment, filled with deco details. We will preserve all of the original features, while bringing the property to the XXI century. Stay tuned.

Island to discover
The kitchen island of our Sarriá project it’s an abstract macro version of the original 1919 moldings surrounding the room. Tradition made edgy. Lacquered caramel surfaces, chrome leg, stainless steel table integrated. A bespoke jewel.

How it’s going/how it started
The double door to the suite. This opening, previously walled up and hidden by a closet, now turned into a focal point. Its glossy, butter coloured surface, lacquered and grooved to match the original apartment doors. Square handles were also custom made.

Clear ideas
This concept for a compact apartment for a couple, in Barcelona hip Sant Antoni neighbourhood, is played on volumes and color, maximising spaces.

Contemporary classic
The kitchen island in our Sarrià Apartment project is a heavily sculptural element informed by the original 1919 moldings on the ceiling. A giant, caramel-color, lacquered version of them that will be the center of the space. What do you think?
