Being part of CIRP - The International Academy for Production Engineering is more than attending a scientific conference. It means contributing to the community that is shaping the future of manufacturing.
This week, the IDEKO Centro Tecnológico team is in Turin for the 75th CIRP General Assembly, the world's leading scientific forum in production engineering.
For us, has always been a benchmark of scientific excellence. Its highly selective review process brings together some of the most influential researchers in manufacturing, making every accepted contribution a recognition of the quality and relevance of the research behind it.
This year, we are particularly proud to be the Research centre with the highest number of scientific contributions: five papers, covering different challenges in advanced manufacturing.
But there is another figure that makes this edition especially meaningful for us: three of these contributions are led by researchers who completed their PhDs last year.
Seeing a new generation of researchers contributing at this level is a strong reflection of our long-term commitment to developing scientific talent and building solid research capabilities.
Our relationship with CIRP goes back a long way — including hosting the General Assembly in Bilbao in 2022, chaired by our Scientific Director, Jokin Muñoa — but the purpose remains the same: to challenge our knowledge against the best in the field, build international collaborations and bring that scientific excellence back to industry.
