CASTELLANA 81

It’s not every day you get to design an office in one of Madrid’s iconic buildings by , Castellana 81. This heritage-protected gem deserves all the respect, and we're thrilled to support a fintech company as they expand onto another floor. We’ve already made strides post-COVID, and it’s fantastic to see them grow! Here’s a glimpse of the project we completed 4 years ago that set the foundation for this journey.

This year, we were called upon again to design the new reception playground. As an architectural practice, we feel incredibly fortunate to work in the inspiration left by the great Master of Architecture.

COLEGIO ASUNCIÓN DE CUESTABLANCA
Three years ago, we had the privilege of contributing to the refurbishment of a school designed by one of Spain's most famous, yet possibly internationally unknown, architects, Miguel Fisac. This remarkable building, with its stunning brutalist architecture, isn’t yet heritage protected, but our scheme aimed to honor this grand master by enhancing its unique features and ensuring its longevity, while adapting it to the educational models of today.
The architecture of Asunción de Cuestablanca is a testament to Fisac’s innovative vision, showcasing the bold forms and functional aesthetics that define his work. It stands as a significant piece of architectural history, reflecting the ethos of its time.

Studio MADD para 3g office.

[ES] El sur de Málaga se está convirtiendo en un lugar estratégico para las empresas tecnológicas. Atraer y retener el talento es un desafío al que Oracle Digital se enfrentó y contactó con 3g office para que le ayudara en el diseño de estas oficinas. El proyecto necesitaba reflejar la transformación cultural de Oracle Digital, así como plasmar la personalidad multinacional de sus trabajadores. El lugar de trabajo está organizado en una asignación de escritorio 1:1, pero ofrece una variedad de entornos de trabajo alternativos que varían desde salas de dos personas hasta espacios más amplios, colaborativos e informales.

[EN] Oracle Digital offices in Malaga, Spain.

The south of Malaga is becoming a hub for technological companies. Attracting and retaining talent is becoming a challenge and Oracle Digital faced this challenge and approached us to redesign their offices in Malaga, located in the technological business district. The project needed to reflect Oracle Digital´s cultural transformation as well as embrace the multinational background of their staff. The workplace is arranged on a 1:1 desk allocation, yet offers an array of alternative work settings that vary from two-people rooms to larger, informal and collaborative spaces.

Google quería cambiar la imagen de su Campus con la renovación del nivel de la planta baja que contiene el programa más social del edificio y convertir el primer piso en un nivel de trabajo de enfoque.

El edificio tiene de por sí una historia de innovación. En este inmueble de ladrillo, Isaac Peral, el ingeniero y oficial de la Armada que inventó el submarino, fundó en 1892 la primera fábrica de acumuladores de energía eléctrica en España.

Studio MADD se centró en exaltar las virtudes arquitectónicas del edificio dejando al descubierto los muros de ladrillo originales que quedaron ocultos bajo todas las intervenciones que se han realizado a lo largo de los años.

Se llevaron a cabo intervenciones que le dieran valor y la autenticidad del edificio.

Más que materiales, trabajamos con materias primas que le aportaran carácter al nuevo espacio.
