Yesterday, we had the pleasure of participating in the XXI Telecofórum organized by the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), where our Innovation Technology Director, Alejandro Cardona, delivered an inspiring presentation on disruptive innovation applied to solar tracking plants. 🌞💡

This event, organized by the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Telecomunicación, brought together leading engineering companies from the Region of Murcia, creating a valuable space for learning and networking for students and industry professionals alike.

At Soltec, we are proud to be part of some of the most significant solar projects worldwide, with Brazil standing out as one of our key markets. Our commitment to innovation and sustainability is clearly demonstrated in the projects we have developed in Minas Gerais, where our solar tracking technology is helping to maximize renewable energy production.

In the region of Minas Gerais, we have partnered with Comerc Energia on two major projects, Coromandel 1 and Coromandel 3. Both of these projects ranked first and third, respectively, in the July report from ePowerBay, highlighting their importance in the Brazilian solar market.

Brazil not only plays a central role in our global portfolio, but it is also the country where we have achieved the highest installed capacity. These projects are a testament to our leadership in solar energy and our commitment to building a more sustainable future. 🌱✨

Spain's Solar Industry Shines Bright in 2023 🌞 The Spanish photovoltaic sector continues to show its strength! In 2023, nearly 7.5 GW of solar power was installed, reinforcing Spain's leadership in renewable energy. This boom created over 160,000 new jobs and contributed €18 billion to the GDP.

Key highlights:

✅ Solar energy now represents 32.5 GW of installed capacity, making it the most installed energy source in Spain.
€610 million invested in R&D, driving innovation and sustainability.
✅ The first half of 2024 shows a promising trend with 2.1 GW of new capacity already installed, keeping pace with last year's record figures.
✅ Spain’s solar revolution is not only generating clean energy, but it’s also creating jobs, boosting local economies, and contributing to a more sustainable future.
