Located in the heart of Palma’s old town, this quiet square has been shaped by centuries of history. The square takes its name from the Tagamanent family, a historic Mallorcan lineage whose presence in the city dates back to the medieval period. The surrounding buildings reflect the evolution of the neighbourhood, from traditional Mallorcan architecture to the elegant details of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Our project begins with this existing character — its timberwork, shutters, crafted details and generous rooftop overlooking the city — and looks towards a new chapter.

There is something timeless about a Mallorcan stone house.

In this home in Ses Salines, traditional architecture meets a quiet, contemporary sensibility. The local stone, terracotta roof and soft green shutters create a palette that feels deeply rooted in its surroundings, while the clean lines and carefully considered openings give the house a sense of simplicity and calm.

Architecture here is not about standing out, but about belonging — preserving the character of the place while creating a home for today.

A renovation that reinterprets the character of a Mediterranean home through a contemporary architectural language.

The existing structure has been transformed with a strong focus on light, proportions and connection with the landscape. Large glazed openings, generous arches and natural materials create a seamless relationship between the interior and the outdoor spaces, while the clean architectural lines give the house a calm, timeless character.

The result is a home designed for Mediterranean living — open, bright and deeply connected to its surroundings.
