Nuestra de hoy es Merce. 💜

Hace un año y medio, un accidente practicando esquí de montaña cambió su vida. Desde entonces, utiliza silla de ruedas, pero sigue disfrutando de aquello que más le apasiona: el deporte y la naturaleza. ⛰️🚴

Merce vive en un pueblo del Vallès Occidental lleno de cuestas, por lo que pronto se dio cuenta de que necesitaba una ayuda para poder moverse con libertad. Su Batec Mini 2 Tetra se convirtió en una compañera imprescindible para recorrer sus calles y seguir disfrutando de su día a día.

Ahora, ha dado un paso más con su Batec Hibrid 2 Tetra. Gracias al cambio electrónico, puede volver a salir en bicicleta y descubrir nuevas rutas, como las vías verdes, adaptadas a esta nueva etapa. 🌿

Además, aunque sus manos ya no le permiten hacer manualidades como antes, sigue buscando nuevas formas de crear y mantenerse activa.

Our of the week is Merce. 💜

A year and a half ago, a ski touring accident changed her life. She has been a wheelchair user ever since but continues to enjoy the things she loves most: sport and the outdoors. ⛰️🚴

Merce lives in a small town in the Vallès Occidental region, where the streets are anything but flat. She soon realised she needed some help to get around independently, and her Batec Mini 2 Tetra quickly became an essential part of her daily life.

Now, she has taken the next step with her Batec Hibrid 2 Tetra. Thanks to its electronic gear shifter, she can get back on a bike and explore new routes. Some of her favourites are the trails made from old railway lines, called greenways, which are perfectly suited to this new chapter of her life. 🌿

And although her hands no longer allow her to enjoy crafts as she once did, she continues to find new ways to be creative and stay active.

Today’s is .

Peter lives in Vancouver, Canada, where he trains and competes full-time in wheelchair table tennis. 🏓 Through the sport, he travels all over the world and has recently returned from a more than three-month-long trip across Europe and the Balkans.

When he’s not competing, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, exploring the city and making the most of the outdoors. That’s where his Batec has been a real game changer: it allows him to go for walks, play with his daughter in the park and explore Vancouver as a family without relying on a car. 🚴‍♀️🌳

As someone with incomplete tetraplegia and reduced hand mobility, he particularly appreciates how easy it is to attach his Batec to his wheelchair. His Batec Mini goes with him on every trip, helping him tackle cobbled streets, challenging terrain and hilly cities with ease. ✈️

Vive en Vancouver, Canadá, donde entrena y compite a tiempo completo en tenis de mesa en silla de ruedas. 🏓 Gracias al deporte, viaja por todo el mundo y recientemente regresó de un viaje de más de tres meses por Europa y los Balcanes.

Cuando no está compitiendo, disfruta pasando tiempo con su mujer y su hija, explorando la ciudad y disfrutando de la vida al aire libre. Y es ahí donde su Batec se ha convertido en un gran aliado: le permite salir a pasear, jugar en el parque con su hija o recorrer Vancouver en familia sin necesidad de utilizar el coche. 🚴‍♀️🌳

Además, como persona con tetraplejia y, por tanto, con dificultad para usar las manos, valora especialmente la facilidad con la que puede acoplar el Batec a su silla. Su Batec Mini le acompaña en todos sus viajes, ayudándole a desplazarse con facilidad por calles adoquinadas, terrenos difíciles y ciudades con cuestas. ✈️
