Grand Paris Express - Ligne 15 Ouest Sud : deux étapes franchies à la gare Saint-Cloud

En quelques jours, les équipes de notre groupement ont mené deux opérations techniques majeures :
➡️ La pose d'une passerelle de correspondance au-dessus des voies ferrées, soit une charpente métallique de 28 tonnes hissée à 36 mètres de portée. Cette passerelle reliera la Ligne 15 au Transilien, et la ville haute à la ville basse de Saint-Cloud.
➡️L'achèvement des parois moulées avec le bétonnage du dernier panneau. Cette dernière étape marque la fin de la phase de fondation menée par Botte Fondations, débutée il y a plus d’un an.

Ces deux opérations illustrent les exigences du Grand Paris Express : précision technique, logistique rigoureuse et mobilisation des équipes sur la durée, dans un environnement très contraint.

Bravo aux équipes de la gare Saint-Cloud, à l'encadrement et aux compagnons venus en renfort 👏

Grand Paris Express – Line 15 West-South: two milestones reached at Saint-Cloud station

In just a few days, the teams from our consortium have completed two major technical operations:
➡️ The installation of a connecting footbridge over the railway tracks, comprising a 28-tonne steel structure hoisted to a span of 36 metres. This footbridge will link Line 15 to the Transilien, and the upper town to the lower town of Saint-Cloud.
➡️ The completion of the diaphragm walls with the concreting of the final panel. This final stage marks the end of the foundation phase led by Fondations, which began over a year ago.

These two operations illustrate the demands of the Grand Paris Express: technical precision, rigorous logistics and the sustained commitment of teams, all within a highly constrained environment.

Well done to the teams at Saint-Cloud station, the management and the colleagues who came to support them 👏

High Speed Two : le plus haut pont est achevé !

Nos équipes viennent d’achever Curzon 2, un ouvrage emblématique situé sur les approches de la future gare Birmingham Curzon Street.

Plus haut ouvrage du futur réseau HS2, ce pont culmine à plus de 40 mètres de hauteur, soit l’équivalent d’un immeuble de 10 étages.

Quelques chiffres :
🔹 4 200 tonnes d’acier
🔹 670 éléments assemblés avec précision
🔹 250 ingénieurs mobilisés pendant trois ans

Le pont a été déplacé sur près de 180 mètres avant d’être lancé au-dessus de la ligne ferroviaire Cross City, toujours en exploitation. Une opération spectaculaire à la mesure de l’ambition du projet HS2.

👏 Félicitations à toutes les équipes mobilisées sur ce défi technique hors norme, qui contribue à façonner l’avenir des mobilités au Royaume-Uni.

High Speed Two: The tallest bridge is complete!

Our teams have just completed Curzon 2, an iconic structure located on the approaches to the future Birmingham Curzon Street station.

As the tallest structure on the future HS2 network, this bridge rises to over 40 metres in height, the equivalent of a 10-storey building.

Some key figures:
🔹 4,200 tonnes of steel
🔹 670 components assembled with precision
🔹 250 engineers mobilised over three years

The bridge was moved nearly 180 metres before being launched over the Cross City railway line, which remains in operation. A spectacular operation befitting the ambition of the HS2 project.

👏 Congratulations to all the teams involved in this extraordinary technical challenge, which is helping to shape the future of mobility in the United Kingdom.

Immersion au cœur d’un projet d’infrastructure majeur à Toronto

Récemment, Ontario Transit Group a accueilli des étudiants français en master génie civil et construction sur le projet Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations & Tunnel.

Au programme :
➡️ découverte des défis techniques du projet
➡️ visite des différents chantiers
➡️ échanges avec les équipes

L'occasion pour ces étudiants d'appréhender les enjeux d'un projet de transport d'envergure en environnement urbain, et pour nos équipes de partager leur métier et leur savoir-faire.

An insight into a major infrastructure project in Toronto

Recently, Ontario Transit Group welcomed French Master’s students in Civil Engineering and Construction to the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations & Tunnel project.

On the agenda:
➡️ learning about the project’s technical challenges
➡️ visiting the various construction sites
➡️ meeting and engaging with the project teams

This was an opportunity for the students to gain a better understanding of the challenges involved in delivering a major transport project in an urban environment, while enabling our teams to share their expertise and experience.

Red Line Extension à Chicago : le chantier est officiellement lancé !

Après 18 mois de conception et l’obtention des premiers permis, une étape clé a été franchie avec le bétonnage du tout premier pieu du projet.

Un pieu hors norme : 2,5 m de diamètre, 30 m de profondeur, 25 tonnes d’armatures et 150 m³ de béton bas carbone – l’un des plus imposants de l’ouvrage.

La cérémonie officielle de pose de la première pierre a eu lieu fin avril, en présence des autorités locales, dont le maire de Chicago, Brandon Johnson.

Attendue depuis près de 60 ans, cette extension de la Red Line transformera durablement le quotidien des communautés du Far South Side de Chicago, en facilitant l’accès aux bassins d’emploi et en soutenant le développement économique et social du territoire.

Un projet emblématique au service de la mobilité, de l’inclusion et d’une infrastructure plus durable.

Chicago Red Line Extension: Construction Officially Underway!

After 18 months of design work and the granting of the first planning permissions, a key milestone was reached with the pouring of the project’s very first pile.

An extraordinary pile: 2.5 m in diameter, 30 m deep, 25 tons of rebar, and 150 m³ of low-carbon concrete, one of the largest in the project.

The official ground-breaking ceremony took place at the end of April, attended by local officials, including the Mayor of Chicago Brandon Jonhson.

Anticipated for nearly 60 years, this extension of the Red Line will permanently transform daily life for communities on Chicago’s Far South Side by improving access to employment hubs and supporting the area’s economic and social development.

A flagship project promoting mobility, inclusion, and more sustainable infrastructure.

Bakheng Phase 3 : une étape clé au service de la performance de l’eau

À Bakheng, nos équipes poursuivent leur progression sur la phase 3 du projet :
➡️le génie civil de l’Intake, porte d’entrée de l’eau dans le système de traitement, est quasiment achevée
➡️les réservoirs d’eau traitée sont finalisés
➡️les installations process et réseaux internes sont en cours de déploiement
➡️les principaux ouvrages (clarificateurs, station de pompage, bâtiments techniques) prennent forme

Le projet entre désormais dans une nouvelle phase, avec le passage du génie civil à l’installation des équipements, essentielle à la performance de l’installation.

Au-delà de la prouesse technique, cette réalisation renforcera durablement les capacités de traitement de l’eau du territoire.

Cette dynamique repose sur un engagement collectif fort, illustré par 2 millions d’heures travaillées sans accident avec arrêt.

Bakheng Phase 3: a key milestone in support of water performance

At Bakheng, our teams continue to make strong progress on Phase 3 of the project:
➡️the civil engineering works for the Intake, the entry point of the water into the treatment system, are now nearly complete
➡️the treated water reservoirs have been finalised
➡️the process installations and internal networks are currently being deployed
➡️the main structures (clarifiers, pumping station and technical buildings) are taking shape

The project is now entering a new phase, moving from civil engineering works to equipment installation, a crucial stage for the performance of the facility.

Beyond the technical achievement, this project will sustainably strengthen the region’s water treatment capacity.

This momentum is driven by a strong collective commitment, illustrated by 2 million hours worked without a lost-time accident.

Projet du Fehmarnbelt : premier élément du tunnel immergé !

Le premier élément du futur tunnel immergé a été installé avec succès dans la tranchée du tunnel. Une prouesse technique soigneusement préparée : une structure en béton de 217 m de long et plus de 73 000 tonnes, positionnée avec précision au fond de la mer.

➡️ Prochaine étape : assembler les 88 éléments restants pour créer un ouvrage de 18 km, futur plus long tunnel immergé du monde.

👏 Une réussite rendue possible grâce à la synergie de l’ensemble des expertises mobilisées sur ce projet hors norme !

Fehmarnbelt Project: First Immersed Tunnel Element Installed!

The first element of the future immersed tunnel has been successfully installed in the tunnel trench. A carefully prepared technical feat: a 217-metre-long concrete structure weighing more than 73,000 tonnes, positioned with precision on the seabed.

➡️ Next step: assembling the remaining 88 elements to create an 18 km structure, set to become the world’s longest immersed tunnel.

👏 An achievement made possible thanks to the combined expertise and strong collaboration of all the teams involved in this exceptional project!

✈️ Aéroport de Belgrade : un engagement qui se poursuit

Après la livraison en 2024 du projet d’extension et de transformation de Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport pour Airports, nos équipes poursuivent leur mobilisation avec un nouveau chantier stratégique.

Ce projet porte sur l’extension de la jetée d’embarquement, incluant une aire de stationnement pour avions.

Objectif : accompagner l’augmentation de la capacité de l’aéroport à l’horizon 2027, en préparation de l’exposition internationale prévue en Serbie.

Mené en fast track (18 mois), le chantier intègre des exigences environnementales fortes :
➡️ Recours à l’énergie solaire pour la base vie
➡️ Optimisation de la consommation d’eau
➡️ Réutilisation des matériaux asphaltés de la démolition

Une étape clé a été franchie avec le premier coulage du plancher haut du rez-de-chaussée.

Une nouvelle illustration du savoir-faire des équipes sur des projets complexes et exigeants.

✈️ Belgrade Airport: A Commitment That Continues

Following the completion in 2024 of the expansion and renovation project at Belgrade’s for , our teams are continuing their efforts with a new strategic project.

This project involves the expansion of the boarding pier, including an aircraft parking area.

Objective: to support the airport’s capacity expansion by 2027, in preparation for the international exhibition planned in Serbia.

Conducted on a fast-track basis (18 months), the project incorporates stringent environmental requirements:

➡️ Use of solar energy for the site offices
➡️ Optimisation of water consumption
➡️ Reuse of asphalt materials from demolition

A key milestone was reached with the first pour of the upper floor slab on the ground level.

Yet another example of the teams’ expertise on complex and demanding projects.

Beneath the city in Canada, the OLS project is taking shape at a rapid pace, with simultaneous progress along the entire route, an impressive feat in such a constrained urban environment.

👉 The Libby tunnel boring machine is now assembled and the excavation program has begun
👉 The station caverns are taking shape (waterproofing, reinforcement, concrete)
👉 The first permanent structures are taking shape

Ligne 15 Ouest Grand Paris Expressxpress : Tiphaine, le second tunnelier, a été baptisé !

Fun fact : dans le monde des tunnels, chaque tunnelier est baptisé avant de démarrer son creusement.

Une tradition bien ancrée dans les métiers du souterrain, héritée de Sainte-Barbe, patronne des mineurs.

Le 15 avril, c’est le second tunnelier de la ligne 15 Ouest du Grand Paris Express qui a ainsi été baptisé sur l’ouvrage Île-de-Monsieur à Sèvres, futur point de départ de la machine.

Baptisé Tiphaine, il porte le prénom de Tiphaine Cadoret, responsable prévention tunnel au sein du groupement IntenCités15.

Un choix qui met à l’honneur les équipes de terrain et les exigences de sécurité au cœur de nos métiers.

Line 15 West Grand Paris Express : Tiphaine, the second tunnel boring machine, has been named!

Fun fact: in the tunnelling world, every tunnel boring machine is given a name before excavation begins.

It is a long-established tradition in underground construction, inherited from Saint Barbara, the patron saint of miners.

On 15 April, the second tunnel boring machine for Grand Paris Express Line 15 West was officially named at the Île-de-Monsieur site in Sèvres, the future starting point for the machine.

Named Tiphaine, it bears the name of Tiphaine Cadoret, Tunnel Prevention Manager within the IntenCités15 consortium.

This choice pays tribute to the site teams and to the safety requirements that are at the heart of our profession.
