[TEAM] In this series we want to highlight the team that helps Roofscapes grow and support our mission of adapting cities to summer heatwaves!

👀 Today, let’s put the spotlight on Doriane Eckert, originally from Sion in Switzerland 🇹🇭 she discovered Roofscapes during her Bachelor in Architecture at EPFL. Interested by the prospect of working on the climate adaptation of Paris, an historic city-center she had heard about a lot at school, she joined the adventure for an internship in the spring of 2026! At Roofscapes, Doriane worked on several ongoing climate adaptation projects, as well as an exhibition we have prepared for the Deutsch Architektur Museum (Deutsches Architekturmuseum), before starting her master’s at ETH Zurich đŸ€“

Thanks Doriane, you rock!

[PROJECT] We are excited to share the first image of our latest completed project in Paris’ 6th arrondissement. Nestled among buildings of different heights, it shades a zinc roof from solar radiations to improve resilience against heatwaves. It also serves as a green outdoor space for human and non human beings in one of central Paris’s densest areas.

Our warmest thanks to Domingues Couverture for the zinc roofing works, Rialland Charpente for the carpentry, TOPAGER for the vegetation, RBS IDF for the structural studies as well as Ion Lunca and GALGO_STUDIO_ for the interiors and general works. On Roofscapes’ side shoutout to Sandie Kate Fenton, Gustavo Pires Killes, Victoria Vulliety, Matheo Morin and Tim Cousin, whose work and commitment helped bring this beautiful project to life đŸŒ±

More images and details soon!

Enseignants : Tim Cousin, Antoine Laugier, Eytan Levi
Étudiant·e·s : EthanaĂ«l Azoulay-Chatelain, Eleanor Benayoun, Marie Butte, Antoine Caillet, William Carderot, Pierre Colin de VerdiĂšre, Samuele Ferro, Pierre Gacia, Khoi Nguyen, Emma Rigal, RhĂ©aume RihouĂ«t, Coraline RomĂ©, Julien de Rotalier, Tariq Sow, Sude Yaprak
