« 37°C »
Natural male contraception by body temperature using textile devices.

EN-
This project was born following the discovery of thermal contraception by testicular lift. As testicular temperature increases, s***matogenesis (s***m production and mobility) decreases, leading to temporary natural infertility and reversible contraception.
Between textile research and social investigation, 37°C provides information on this lowtech method, while proposing an evolution in the form and materials of existing contraceptive devices.
I have reunited podcasts, interviews, studies on testicular contraception, illustrations made by Marie Jouble,  and the textile research on a website called “https://trenteseptdegres.cargo.site/ ”.
This project is part of a sociodesign approach, which brings together essential and particularly relevant questions in our society today  around health, gender and design.

EN -

It starts in my teens. I suffer from hyperhidrosis: excessive sweating.
This salty flow that gushes out of my body at all times directs my behaviour, my interactions, my choices, even my emotions. Or the other way round: my emotions drive my sweating.
In this research work, I explore the subject of sweat and its taboo, in order to understand its origins and its hold on sweaty and non-sweaty individuals.
Medical, sociological, philosophical and neurological references are confronted with a diary in the form of a website deconstructing the negative vision of sweat.

FR -
