I've had some challenging tiling projects in my time in France, but this one remains the biggest. Part of a team of skilled artisans converting troglodyte caves in Lerne into habitable accommodation: from fancy inlays, metres and metres of tommettes (tiny old terracotta tiles), to curved showers (in mosaic). Not a job for your average 'handyman'!

The weather was kind through most of this project in Vouvant, which was a bonus as there was a deadline.

Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel? January is almost over.... has it been a long month for you? We hope that spring is round the corner, swiftly followed by summer - my favourite season!
