We're looking for a Lead Plasterer to join our wonderful team at Garratts Damp & Timber full time.

Description:
- This job role will communicate and answer to the works manager.
- Carry out Damp proofing, rendering, skim finishes.
- Working mainly in residential properties and some commercial sites in and around London.
- Working in teams of two/three with labouring assistants.
- Transportation provided.
- Training given on the job and externally.
- Introduces clients to our team, culture and systems to allow the client to be comfortable and at ease.
- Someone to help enhance our business efficiency.
- Pride in work quality, not just their results, but how they get there.
- A desire to learn and take control.
- A curiosity to understand the big picture, their role in it, and what it means.
- An openness to try new things.
- Focused on taking initiative and developing original ideas to old problems.

Responsibilities:
- Understand our teams vision and goals.
- Ensure excellent end to end experience for all clients.
- Organise and plan days.

Skills and experience:
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge of damp proofing
- Proven track record of excellent customer skills.
- Valid CSCS card preferred
- Relevant qualifications

Last month the Garratts Damp team came together for a day of collaboration and celebration at GDT's Grand Annual Get Together - our annual company conference.

We celebrated our wins, shared company updates and brought the whole company along on the journey to our future visions.
All accompanied by a healthy dose of sport!

It was a great opportunity for the whole team to come together and embody the values of our company culture.

We know that increasing morale inside the business improves the work we do for our customers when we're out and about, so this is a win-win.

One of our clients faced a persistent leak in their bedroom and bathroom, despite previous repair attempts.

After a thorough survey from Garratts Damp we took it back to basics.

We stripped everything back to the original brickwork and implemented a Type A system to tackle the majority of water ingress. We then applied a DELTA membrane system to the walls, reinforced with a metal track and plasterboard finish for extra durability.

With the help of AH Builders, we transformed the space into a stunning master bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

BIscuit Beetle can be found near kitchens and pantries where flours, grains and indeed biscuits are stored. These beetles will not attack timbers but clearly like ice cream cones where numerous holes appear with extensive damage is found at the bottom of the cone
