It really is unbelievable how much progress has been made in such a short space of time!

A huge thank you to James h buchan and son Drain Surgeon Aberdeen, Mark, Finlay’s Handyman service and Craig for their incredible hard work, generosity, and dedication. What was once an absolute mess is now starting to feel like a real community space, and that’s down to the people who have rolled up their sleeves and made it happen.

From installing our new bathrooms and tackling essential building works, to creating amazing murals and transforming the space room by room, every bit of support has made a massive difference. The amount of time, skill, and effort that has gone into this project is something we will never take for granted.

We’re so excited to see our vision coming to life and can’t wait for our children, young people, families, and wider community to enjoy the space. Thank you for helping us create something truly special. 💙💜💛💚🩷

📅 The consultation form will remain open until 11:59pm on Saturday 13 June 2026.

As part of the ongoing development arising from the Udny Local Place Plan, the community has identified a clear ambition to enhance local facilities and create a more connected, active, and inclusive place to live.

One of the key proposals is the development of a new Community Sports Hub serving Pitmedden, Udny and the surrounding area. The vision is to provide modern, accessible and flexible facilities for sport, recreation and wider community use throughout the year.

At this stage, the project remains in the consultation phase and no decision has been made on a preferred location. Community feedback will play a crucial role in helping shape both the facilities provided and the most suitable location to serve residents across the area.

We are inviting residents, sports clubs, community groups and local stakeholders to complete our short questionnaire and help shape the future of sport and community provision in our area.

🚧 Another busy week on the drains! 🚧

We’ve been a bit quiet on social media recently — not because we’ve slowed down, but because the team has been flat out responding to drainage issues across the City & Shire 💪

Here’s a recent job where our engineers carried out CCTV drain investigations and inspection works to identify issues within the underground system. Using specialist camera equipment allows us to accurately diagnose problems with minimal disruption and provide the best solution moving forward.
