Landfill Cell Lining.

Landfill cell lining is a critical component in waste disposal sites. It typically involves the use of impermeable materials, such as clay and/or Geosynthetic Memranes, to prevent leachate (contaminated liquid) from seeping into the surrounding soil and groundwater. This lining helps contain and manage the potential environmental impact of landfill waste. Engineers carefully design and construct these liners to meet regulatory standards and minimize the risk of pollution.

Landfill Capping.

Landfill capping is a closure or final cover system applied to landfills to minimize environmental impacts. It typically involves placing various layers, such as Geomembranes, Geotextile protection layers, soil and vegetation, over the waste to prevent the infiltration of water, control gas emissions, and reduce the risk of environmental contamination. The goal is to create a barrier that isolates the waste and promotes long-term environmental stability.

A Reservoir Roof trench detail.

This is a typical design of a trench detail used on potable water tanks, a French drain is installed around the perimeter of the tank so water cannot run down the outside of the wall which may cause unwanted ingress to the tank in the future.

A Stainless steel batten detail strip with a sealed gasket is also installed to protect roof to wall joints from water ingress, this is typically around 300 - 500mm from top of roof around the perimeter of the tank.
