Latest frame to leave the workshop was an oak extension for a house in Preston. Plenty of character in this one. Entrance cruck, organic braces and a hipped roof with dragon ties, all in Welsh oak. Now installed onsite we just need a good weather window and we’ll be back to fit the rafters.

Winching and extracting Larch and Douglas Fir logs from our woods back in December.

A momentous occasion for us to be extracting some of the first saw logs from our own woods, planted by our family 30 years ago. On the steepest part of the woodland, extracting wasn’t easy, but with the winter sun shining and views of the river Elwy meandering in the valley below, it made for a pleasurable task.

Good to see the old Same Minitauro 60 back in action and working in the woods.
