Huge thanks to Guy for the brilliant 5 star review 🤩🙌

We're so glad we got your house warm quickly, Guy! Moving into a new place is busy enough without losing heating and hot water. Novo made sure the family had hot water back on by the end of day one, with the full boiler and cylinder replacement wrapped up in two days.

If your boiler is due an upgrade, get an instant estimate on our website here: www.novoplumbing.com/estimate

A beautiful bathroom starts before the tiles go on...

Behind the finished walls is the work you don’t see: carefully planned pipework, properly prepared surfaces and waterproofing in the areas that need it.

These stages create the foundation for the finish, helping protect against leaks and giving the tiles a solid base.

It’s easy to focus on the tiles and taps, but what’s underneath deserves just as much attention.

Thanks to Dr John Lewis for this fantastic 5 star review 🤩 we installed electric underfloor heating at his home in Farnham.

We don't just fit systems, Novo guide you on the best options for your space and manage the full job so you don't have to coordinate a thing.

“How long will we be without our bathroom?” is usually one of the first questions we’re asked.

As a guide, a standard full bathroom refit often takes around two to three weeks on site, depending on the work involved.

Keeping the existing layout usually makes things more straightforward. Moving fittings, adding underfloor heating or repairing damage uncovered during strip-out can mean allowing extra time.

There’s also essential drying and setting time to factor in. Surface preparation, waterproofing, tile adhesive, grout and sealant each have their own requirements, so the schedule needs to allow for these stages too.

We’ll explain the expected timescale before work starts and keep you updated throughout.

Next week, we’ll take a closer look at the preparation behind the tiles.

The clocks go back next weekend, and this living room in Farnham is ready for it 🔥

The old carpet came up first, then we laid an electric underfloor heating system across the room. Next the floor was latexed, which levels everything off so the new flooring sits perfectly flat, and then we glued down this herringbone. You’ll never see the latex once it’s done, but skipping it is how you end up with hollow spots and a pattern that looks slightly off.

Electric underfloor heating is a really good shout if you’re replacing a floor anyway, because it goes in underneath without needing changes to your boiler or radiators. Warm feet on a January morning instead of cold carpet is hard to argue with 🙌🏼

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you so much Bazza!

Leaving every home tidy and looking after our customers is just how we do things at Novo 👌

Like for like ⚖️ comes up on nearly every quote we give, and it simply means replacing what's already there in the same spot, which tends to be the quickest and most affordable way to do a bathroom. As soon as a toilet or shower moves it becomes a bigger job, because the plumbing has to move with it and the price goes up to match.

Neither is better than the other, it just depends on what you're hoping to get out of the room, and if you're not sure which one yours is, the estimator tool will give you a rough steer, link in our bio.

The Novo Process ⚒️ A lot of people want to know what actually happens once they get in touch, so here's how it works with us from start to finish.

It begins with the online estimator, which takes about a minute and gives you a realistic price range with no obligation. If that looks right we'll set up a video call or a visit, where George or Joel talk through what you want and then send you a fixed price quote.

After that they manage the whole job and coordinate every trade, so you're not left chasing anyone, and when it's finished we do a final walkthrough with you and hand it over with our 12 month workmanship guarantee.
