π Just left school?
Fancy a career where your hands get dirty, your tea goes cold, and your work actually matters?
We're looking for an Apprentice HGV Technician to join our team.
You'll be trained by a group of experienced mechanics whose favourite hobby is telling everyone how things were better in their day. They'll teach you everything they know, expect you to work hard, and introduce you to the fine art of workshop banter.
The office team will quickly become your unofficial workshop aunties, offering encouragement, life advice, and making sure you've remembered your lunch.
This isn't an easy job. You'll get dirty, you'll work in all weathers, and you'll need a thick skin. But if you're willing to learn, put the effort in, and can have a laugh along the way, you'll gain a skill that can set you up for life.
Think you've got what it takes?

HGV Technician Apprentice
Fancy getting paid to learn a trade that will last a lifetime?
We're looking for an Apprentice HGV Technician to join our busy workshop team.
Before you apply, let's be honest...
This isn't a job where you'll spend your day sitting behind a desk with a latte and air conditioning.
You'll get dirty.
You'll work in all weather conditions.
You'll lift heavy components.
You'll learn how to solve problems.
You'll occasionally wonder why truck manufacturers hide bolts in impossible places.
But you'll also learn a highly skilled trade from experienced technicians and become part of a business that genuinely supports its staff.
What you'll be doing:
β’ Assisting qualified HGV Technicians with servicing, maintenance and repairs
β’ Learning how to diagnose faults on a wide range of commercial vehicles and trailers
β’ Carrying out inspections and safety checks
β’ Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe
β’ Developing the skills needed to become a fully qualified HGV Technician
What we're looking for:
β’ A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
β’ Someone who isn't afraid of hard work
β’ Good practical skills and common sense
β’ Reliability and punctuality
β’ A positive attitude, even when it's raining sideways
A few important truths:
β’ If you need your mum to wake you up for work, this probably isn't the role for you.
β’ If you expect every day to be easy, this definitely isn't the role for you.
β’ If you can take a bit of banter, get stuck in, and aren't afraid to ask questions, you'll fit right in.
Our technicians are a great bunch. They've got years of experience and know their stuff. Like most workshop mechanics, they're set in their ways, enjoy a bit of workshop banter, and won't wrap you in cotton wool. What they will do is teach you everything they know if you're willing to listen, learn and put the effort in.
What you'll get:
β’ Full apprenticeship training
β’ Support from experienced technicians
β’ Real opportunities to progress within the company
β’ A career, not just a job
β’ The satisfaction of fixing things that actually matter
If you're hardworking, thick-skinned, keen to learn and ready to build a future in the commercial vehicle industry, we'd love to hear from you.
