We are currently looking for 1 x CIS electrician.

Work mostly based in Milngavie but may be required on other sites in Aberdeen and Glenrothes (transport will be arranged for Aberdeen)

Minimum of 2 months work: potentially longer.

Monday- Friday £25ph 40 hours per week.

Paid weekly.

Industrial experience preferred.

Duties include:
Installation of containment (cable tray, ladder rack)
wiring.
Glanding and termination of SWA.
Decommissioning of obsolete equipment.
Inspections of existing equipment.
Testing.

A quick post to draw awareness to the potential dangers regarding electricity in our homes. ⚡️🏠⚡️

Recently we have seen very poor installs or DIY projects that pose a risk to the home owner or tenants living in the property and also the property itself.

I have taken some pictures to show the damage it can cause and why its important to contact your local electrician to have them check everything is fit for continued use.

Please keep in mind when choosing an electrician they are registered with NAPIT and hold all relevant insurance's to carry out such work.

Another important thing to remember is they have to issue electrical certificates when the job is complete. 📝

Hope this information is useful and possibly saves any costly repairs in the future.
