See some snapshots from our recently completed leaky dams.

These structures are built using natural materials, with willow carefully installed to create a living dam. Over time, the willow will take root and grow, strengthening the structure naturally and making it more resilient with each season.

Leaky dams are designed to slow the flow of water rather than stop it completely. This helps reduce downstream flooding, improves water retention in the landscape, and creates valuable habitats for wildlife. By working with nature instead of against it, we’re building solutions that are sustainable, adaptive, and long-lasting.
