First Post of 2026!

What a busy start to the year it has been!

We recently completed a full renovation of both a bathroom and an ensuite in the same property. Our customers chose a cohesive design across both spaces, with subtle touches to differentiate them. Highlights include:

* Full brass metalwork
* Recessed tile shelves with spotlights
* Pattern-matched tiles on the floors and walls, complemented by smaller tiles in the bath and shower areas for added effect.

I took over and installed two bathrooms, an ensuite, a kitchen sink, a utility sink, and the splashback tile work above the countertops.

Double Bathroom Renovation

This project involved upgrading an ensuite and a bathroom that required significant structural work due to extensive wood rot caused by leaking pipes behind the wall. As a result, the wall between the bathroom and ensuite had to be completely rebuilt (see the end photos for damage and before images).

The customers opted for a modern yet timeless look and wanted continuity between the bathrooms, so the designs were kept very similar.

This job involved a significant amount of additional work. Once the original bathroom was removed, I realised that none of the walls were straight or true. The decision was made to raise the floor to eliminate the step into the room, and stud work was installed throughout to square and straighten the walls, resulting in a slight loss of space.
