A long overdue Smoke Alarm replacement 🔊

By "long overdue" I mean 15 to 20 years as I'm sure the existing alarm in the third picture was the original one installed in the mid to late 90's when these houses were built 😳

The customer told me they had disconnected the supply to one of the alarms prior to reaching out, as it wouldn't stop randomly sounding, which is dangerous for a number of reasons ⚠️

The sensor degrades over time becoming less effective or in this case completely ineffective, hence why all smoke, heat & CO2 alarms have a "Replace By/Expiration" date.
Which is usually 10 years after installation❗️

An easy job to put off, but such an important one to keep on top of 🙌🏻

Alarms changed & the customer is now protected till May 2037 ✅️

Out With The Old ❌️ In With The New 💫

Upgrading an old Octopus EV installation to a fresh Pod Solo 3S EV Charger with all the latest features 🔥

The client reached out with an issue with the existing charger, which would charge at full power for short periods before tripping out the circuit breaker. After thorough investigation it was clear that the original installation was condemnable, unsafe & no longer fit for purpose ⚠️

Which when you clock up the miles each week for work, losing the convenience of off peak tariff home charging & having to use local charging stations, is anything but cost & time effective 🚫

Which made this job even more satisfying, knowing that taking swift action to diagnose & resolve the issue has kept the client moving, saving money & most importantly....SAFE ✅️
