There’s something so satisfying about creating a room that feels as good as it looks.

I recently redecorated our family room using Farrow & Ball Vert de Terre, and I wanted it to feel calm, welcoming and quietly layered rather than overly designed. Soft, earthy greens, warm neutrals, natural textures and collected pieces all work together to create a space that encourages you to slow down and stay a little longer.

As an interior designer, I spend my days helping clients create homes that reflect who they are. This room is exactly that for our own family – comfortable, timeless and full of the little details that make a house feel like home.

Some homes don’t need reinventing — they simply need their character revealed.

This project focused on introducing architectural detail, heritage colour palettes and carefully balanced proportions to create a home that feels timeless rather than trend-led.

As a interior designer currently studying BA (Hons) Heritage Interior Design, my work is rooted in traditional principles that honour the architecture of a property while elevating everyday living.

This scheme centres around Little Greene ‘Flint’, enveloping the walls and ceiling in a soft, mineral-toned finish that enhances the room’s natural light and sculptural forms.

The vanity was reimagined in Little Greene ‘Space Blue’ — a rich, grounding contrast that anchors the space with quiet confidence.

To introduce refinement and visual rhythm, we used Anna French ‘Mini Trellis’ wallpaper, adding subtle pattern and texture without compromising sophistication.

The result is layered, intentional and quietly bold — a bathroom that feels curated rather than decorated.

A full decorative refresh and bespoke tiling installation to bring warmth and depth into this kitchen.

The vertical glazed tiles create movement and light reflection, adding texture without overpowering the space.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about honouring the heritage of an Edwardian home while giving it a fresh, timeless lift. I’ve been working on this hallway transformation for a while, carefully layering texture, warmth and subtle character.

The new beadboard panelling combined with the original panelling, adds depth and classic detailing, creating the perfect backdrop for a calming Little Greene palette: Portland Stone, Portland Stone Pale and Slaked Lime. These soft, nuanced tones completely changed the feel of the space—light, gentle and effortlessly elegant.

I also upcycled the console table to blend seamlessly with the new aesthetic, bringing a bespoke touch that makes the space feel truly personal.
This project was a joy… a blend of craftsmanship, colour alchemy and respect for period architecture. Now on to selecting some art for the walls….
