⚡️⚡️ INTERNATIONAL ELECTRICIAN DAY 2026 ⚡️⚡️
Yesterday was International Electrician Day 2026, and it reminded us that we’ve never properly introduced the man who started it all… Our founder and greatest champion, David White.
David began his electrical apprenticeship at just 15 years old, learning the values of quality workmanship, hard work and good communication, and these would go on to define his entire career.
After gaining experience across the UK and beyond, David and his wife Roslyn settled in Gretna and founded David White Electrical in 1989. What started as a one-man business grew quickly through dedication, exceptional customer service and a passion for training the next generation of electricians.
Over the years, David built a solid reputation for being not only an outstanding electrician, but as a man who genuinely cared about his customers, his employees and the local community. Many apprentices who trained under David over the years have gone on to have successful careers of their own, and some have even been recognised as Scottish Apprentice of the Year!
Today, David has taken a well-earned step back from the day-to-day running of the business, passing the reins to his son Christian and his business partner Kyle Bell. Whilst the leadership of the company has evolved and we’ve rebranded to the DRW Electrical Group, the values David established all those years ago remain at the heart of everything we do today…
Quality workmanship, honest advice, great customer service and supporting the entire team to be the very best they can be built this business, and they’ll continue to guide it for many more years to come.
Thank you, David, for creating a business so many people are proud to be a part of… And happy International Electrician Day to you, the most gentlemanly sparky we know!
