Pause for a moment …what feeling does this portrait give you?

Some pieces are not planned. Some pieces are not meant to be sold or to have a “higher purpose”. They are meant just to exist and create space for our emotions….

I  created this piece in a few minutes. I was in a trance, no thoughts, no questions, no doubts. Only colour and a burning desire to get it all out, to capture that quiet feeling in a mixture of shapes and textures and then just let it… be.

🌼Celebrating Spring - Romanian Martisor 🌸

One of my favourite traditions of the year is called Martisor - a very old tradition celebrated on 1st of March and that's part of the UNESCO  Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The essence of the tradition consists in and offering red and white braided string/thread to loved ones . The Mărțișor is to be worn until the first blossom tree, swallow or stork is seen.

🍀 Martisor is a symbol that represents good luck and the rebirth of nature. The red/white thread is also considered to provide symbolic protection against capricious weather and ensure a safe passage from winter to the spring. Martisor is more than a charm, is a wish for happiness, health and new beginnings 💗

I personally love traditions and I think it's important to keep them alive for future generations 🐝

That's why I decided to make a Special Edition Broches handmade with love and care perfect for gifting to loved ones🍀

Tonight the veil between worlds is at it's thinnest. People dress in dark and shadowy clothes and they put on a different mask...

The darkness is not scary, our dark side is not ugly, it's just a reminder that we all carry fear and anger and pain inside.

In the darkness we shelter our unseen parts, the parts of ourselves we reject and don't like. Facing our shadows is a process of transformation. We get stronger and closer to our true self. We are whole!

Let's celebrate the beauty in the dark as without it we cannot see the light.
