Today we got called out to a customer who's gas bills were getting ridiculously more expensive each year, we discovered she had a gas leak and after further investigation we sourced it to a leaking section of pipework behind her gas fire that was ventilating itself up and out the old chimney system. After cutting out and repairing the pipework we serviced her fire and boiler leaving her assured she wouldn't be seeing any more unnecessarily high gas bills.

This is a non condensing, standard efficiency oil boiler, installed no more than 8 years ago and never looked at since.
As you can see from the pictures it's in really bad condition, the internal baffles have gotten heat damaged and crumbled away to nothing which has caused the boiler to sute up and stop running at all.
We highly recommended the customer have it replaced with a new high efficiency condensing oil boiler or convert the system to a natural gas fired system as the cost of repairing the older boiler would cover a large portion of it and supplied them with quotes for all options.

Book your oil or gas boiler service now to avoid having to pay prematurely for a full boiler replacement.
