Choosing Angus Logs means choosing firewood that has been prepared with the customerās convenience in mind.
We produce some of the most consistently sized kiln-dried logs available, with each log cut to approximately 9 inches in length and generally 3ā5 inches in diameter. This practical size is suitable for the majority of domestic woodburning stoves.
Why size matters?
Many kiln-dried firewood suppliers produce logs around 10 inches or longer, with diameters reaching up to 7-8 inches. Although producing larger logs allows processing machines to handle greater volumes for the supplier, they are often too large for many stoves or require customers to split them again before use.
At Angus Logs, we take a different approach. We believe that when customers buy Ready to Burn firewood, it should be ready to use, not a half finished product that requires further processing at home.
Producing smaller, more uniform logs can take longer. It is generally quicker for a processor to prioritise throughput and allow larger pieces to pass through, but that does not necessarily provide the best product for the end user.
Our focus is on delivering logs that are:
