LOST - the heart selfie has been missing for a few weeks now. I had hoped someone was just repairing it but it hasn’t returned.

As a local building company that gives fixed quotes on extensions, refurbishments and other projects, material shortages, increased lead times and price rises hasn’t gone unnoticed and definitely caused a few headaches over the last 12 months.
I have to say all the local suppliers have been very good keeping us informed on any price increases and stock levels to help prevent unwanted delays.
You don’t have to delay your building project, just be aware of the supply chain and program the works accordingly.

Industry warns people to delay home improvement due to shortage of cement, electric components, timber and steel.

Tanking, sunshine & homemade flapjack.

The old “Past & Present” on Arnside promenade is being fully refurbished into The Old Customs House Gallery. Nearly finished the much needed tanking to keep the damp out. Lots more to do to get it open for the summer.

Today Josh is helping our Joiner fit a Velux UK04 into an existing roof in a refurb job in Arnside bringing natural light into the first floor landing.

Here are a few pictures of a project we are currently working on in Milnthorpe, just on the A6.

We have added 4 extensions to the original bungalow, one to each side of the property, transforming the whole look and feel of the place. We are looking forward to getting the roof on and windows/doors in so we can start on the inside works.

Homeschooling is coming to an end.... 🥳

Most tradesmen’s kids will be returning to school next week with some newly taught skills. My kids now know how to use nail guns, drop saws, sanders, hammer drills, jigsaws and most importantly how to make the perfect brew!

This rustic timber cladding on a refurbishment job at Arnside Sailing Club is coming to an end. They can’t wait to open the doors to their members and non members again, once restrictions are over, obviously. Follow their page or visit their website to keep updated on events etc.. or pre book your private party later in the year.

Life is one step closer to “normal”. If there ever was such a thing!!
