Donisthorpe Extension – Taking Shape 🧱🏡

Our current extension project over in Donisthorpe is really starting to take shape, thanks to the expertise and workmanship of our brickwork team.

The extension is the initial phase of a much larger project. Once the shell is complete, our carpentry and joinery team will move inside to fit a new kitchen, creating an open and practical flow into the new sitting area within the extension.

The existing kitchen in the main house will then be transformed into a downstairs bathroom and fully functioning utility room, making much better use of the existing space.

There are also a number of alterations to the existing property, including:

🔨 Forming a new window opening for the relocated kitchen
🔨 Bricking up and relocating the existing back door
🔨 Converting the current small boot room to provide access into the new utility room
🔨 Forming new openings and alterations to the existing brickwork
🔨 Reusing existing bricks wherever possible
🔨 Rebuilding alterations using traditional sand and lime mortar to maintain the character of the original building

For us, it’s not just about adding an extension — it’s about making sure the new work sits naturally alongside the existing property, using appropriate materials and traditional techniques where required.
