🖼 What a week, started off very gloomy to this beautiful sunshine.🌞
🌿 A bit of everything maintenance wise, I was very stressed trying to make sure all the large gardens i maintain were ready for the lovely weather this bank holiday weekend. But all went well, and now I can relax knowing that everyone will enjoy the weekend in their nicely manicured gardens.
🏞 That's the whole point for me, timing the maintenance so that the gardens look their best when people use them the most, in the sunshine.
🌹 Amazing to see the roses start to bloom too, I've planted some really nice ones in the spring and can't wait to see them in full bloom this summer.

🖼 I am grateful to work in the most beautiful, peaceful gardens.
🏞 I cleared the garden at the beginning of spring, all the amazing established shrubs and plants were all there hiding under the ivy.
🌿 Now I'm seeing the garden with all the woodlands in bloom, it's even more scenic.

🖼 All walkways seeded, maybe a bit cold today, but if you look at the temperatures for next week, it's actually the perfect time to put down grass seed.
🌞 28c next Friday.
🌱 I've used a premium shady grass seed for the walkways, covered with field no.4 fine grade lawn dressing.
☔️ Its the only time of the year I want it to rain everyday.

🌺 The Rhododendrons are looking incredible this year, and the bare root hostas i planted in a shady border are coming along nicely.
🪴 June is my favourite month of the year for gardens but May is not far behind at all.
🪻 I'm making sure I enjoy every single bit of spring and summer this year, the winter was so dark and gloomy, that everyday now seems like bliss.

🖼 Working in my favourite garden today, right in the heart of Ashby de la Zouch.
🌱 Although when I'm working here it does feel like the countryside with all the bird song and stunning scenery.
🏞 It's almost exactly 2 years since I took the garden on and the difference is incredible, thanks also to the wonderful owners who are constantly adding to the gardens beauty with amazing features. And I'm so grateful for how nice they are with me, it's an absolute pleasure to work here.
🕍 It's a listed building and garden so everything has to be done in keeping with the Georgian period features.
🌿 This is only a small section of the garden, I've overseeded all the lawns today, ready for the rain this weekend and next week.

🌱 More overseeding and the most amazing tap I've ever seen.🐢
🖼 There’s something quietly magical about working in very old gardens. The kind where the paths have softened with time, and every statue, every weathered ornament feels like it’s been watching the world go by for centuries.
⛰️ I feel very privileged to be able to get the garden back to looking it's best, in a time gone by.
