We had to deal with this very dead Sycamore next to the A361 in Pilton.

It had been infected with Cryptostroma (sooty bark disease), the spores from this can cause respiratory problems so masks were the order of the day!

Thankfully we had access for the tracked MEWP, was too far gone to climb!

Proactive landowner got us in to get the road open rather than wait 3 weeks for Somerset Highways to sort it.
