Recent work at our friends property- setting out Qty.6, 3 metre x 1.2 metre flower planters externally, then Two low level soil retainers inside the greenhouse for veggies.
A transition strip was also added to retain the limestone chippings (and to act as a back board for sisal matting being added behind/ beneath the entrance door)

Subframe given the dpc roll treatment before the composite was laid. Pergola also repaired and re- tethered.

Dormers....2 frame + casements, (double glazed)
2 opening casements only
Ground floor....8 pane stormproof casements changed for 2 pane (pair)
Bay window (left facet) needed new fixed casement with repairs to surrounds, due to rot.
All joinery and glazing components are supplied by Sylvan Joinery, Aylesford.
Another sterling job from Russell and the lads! 😄 👍

May 2024, property in Ashford. Previously, in 2022 I had replaced the door to this porch.
My client recently contacted me to have the porch re- constructed due to rot.
This consists of a treated timber frame, Vent 3 membrane and UPVC cladding, celotex insulation and MDF inner sheath, with a pitched slate roof....and the 2022 front door re- instated.
New block and paver step to replace the rotten sleeper there before.

In some circumstances it is possible to replace single glazed casements with double glazed versions but keep the existing window frame.
These are examples of two windows where the frames were thickened on the inside with 18mm moisture resistant MDF, re- beaded so new oak casements with the 18mm glazing units could be installed. Schlegel Storm seals were recessed into the beads.
These casements, the beads, seals and new window hardware were supplied by Sylvan Joinery who did a great job! 😄
