Read this before you park! 👇

When temperatures soar, the bitumen binding in your tarmac drive softens. If you turn your steering wheel while your vehicle is completely stationary the tyres act like an eraser, twisting and scuffing the softened surface.

The good news? Preventing those marks is easy with a few quick driving tweaks:

🚗 1. Keep it rolling: Always make sure your car is slowly moving before you start turning the steering wheel.

💦 2. Cool it down: Planning to maneuver a heavy car, trailer, or van? Give the tarmac a quick spray with water beforehand to lower the surface temperature and harden the bitumen.

🅿️ 3. Straighten up early: Straighten your wheels as you roll into your parking spot, rather than turning them full-lock while stopped right before shutting off the engine.

🚲 4. Watch out for kickstands & jacks: Soft tarmac is vulnerable to concentrated pressure! Place a small wooden board or rubber coaster under motorcycle kickstands or car jacks.
