An update from the Grade listed property we’re working on.

The kitchen is coming together nicely. The lighting has been kept subtle around the original beams and leaded windows, with a feature pendant over the island and concealed lighting under the shelving.

Upstairs, the cove lighting and wall lights are in, with sockets set neatly into the panelling. In a building like this, the aim is for the electrics to do their job without anyone noticing them.

Good work by the team so far. More to follow as the project progresses.

FM managers: how many contractor visits does your electrical compliance take each year?

We group your EICRs, DB maintenance, emergency lighting, lightning protection and more into one coordinated programme. That means fewer site visits, less disruption for occupiers and a lower overall price.

Another year of SafeContractor accreditation ✅

Pleased to say we’ve successfully renewed our SafeContractor accreditation for another year.

It’s an important part of what we do at Vortex and gives our clients and partners confidence that we’re keeping the right standards in place across our work.

As the business continues to grow, so does the importance of getting the basics right, compliance, health & safety and quality of service.

Another year ticked off and plenty more to come.

A recent kitchen project completed by the Vortex team

We carried out the electrical works, including the lighting, helping bring the finished kitchen together and making sure everything was finished to a high standard.

It’s the small details that make a difference, and the lighting really helps set the space off.

We have been working on a grade listed building this year and it it really coming together!

Working with these types of buildings requires us to sometimes think outside of the box, work with other contractors and maintain clear communication throuhgout and the results are starting to show.

We will update more as we continue to progress through this project.
