🏠 PROJECT UPDATE – MARPLE | DOUBLE 😃 FULL RE-ROOF 🏠

The first half of this two-house re-roof project in Marple is now complete! ✅

One property is finished, and the AMX Roofing team are now moving straight onto the adjoining house to complete the other half.

For the first property, we’ve completed a full re-roof from the rafters up:

🔨 Existing roof completely stripped back to rafters
🔨 Insulation topped up to meet current Building Regulations
🔨 New high-grade apex roofing membrane fitted
🔨 New 25mm x 50mm treated timber laths installed
🔨 Solar panels carefully removed and stored
🔨 Front and rear chimneys dropped
🔨 New maintenance-free fibreglass valleys fitted
🔨 New grey concrete roof tiles installed
🔨 Dry ridge and dry verge systems fitted
🔨 Existing solar panels reinstalled

All work meets current Building Regulations and has been signed off and passed by Building Control, with the certificate issued to the client. ✅

Now it’s onto house number two, which is already underway! 🔨

We can’t wait to share the full reel showing this project from start to finish once both properties are complete.

Another quality roofing project completed in Manchester. 👌

This job involved a full strip and re-slate, giving the roof a new lease of life while preserving its original character. We installed a new breathable membrane and treated timber battens throughout, then carefully re-used the existing natural slates, sourcing reclaimed slates where needed to ensure everything matched seamlessly.

It’s always satisfying to restore a roof the right way rather than replacing materials unnecessarily.

🚧 Another roof rescued by the AMX Roofing team.

This week’s project involved a full strip-out of two failed fibreglass valleys that had been installed incorrectly and were causing significant leaks.

We removed the defective valleys front and rear, installed a brand-new GRP dry fix valley system, and fully re-tiled both roof slopes to leave the roof watertight and built to last.

It’s a reminder that the cheapest installation isn’t always the best. Poor workmanship can end up costing far more when it has to be replaced.
